Rick should be setting up the server on the community box soon.
Rick and Decap has access to the community box. It's a 2-core Windows server with 2GB RAM (~1.2GB usable due to Windows). The reason we got it was to have a server for trivial "playground" things which isn't as important as our main servers are. And it runs Windows which only Terraria runs on. Adding more RAM is possible, but not something we want to do unless it's required and the server is actually used.
I guess I'll run the server as I'm not really using my PC because of increasing schoolwork. ------------ Also, I have collected $40 in beermoney and I am wondering if there are any good SSDs around $40-50 USD. A 120GB SSD is good enough for my needs. Are any of these good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0D9-0021-00005 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-173-071 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W02KJ5977
I believe we are going to play my modpack. http://technicpack.net/modpack/devinityorg-complete-modpack.729749 I am going to host the server when I get home (or if someone else wants to). Rick tried to run it on the community box, but there wasn't enough memory to even create a world.
The Minecraft server is pretty much set up. Server is running on my PC for now. IP: devinitycomplete.ddns.net (no http://www. prefix) How many of you guys are going to actually play? In order for you to play you must join the server first. Read the info at spawn, then contact either Jeffery (Vibrators) or me (DrPitLazarus) to give you permissions. ==================== Related Links Texture pack downloads Modpack info
Beasty you can install Optifine if you notice that you're having trouble running the modpack. Also you can kill the console which likes to eat a gig of memory aswell. Let me know if you have any issues. I'll help to the best of my ability.
