I want to set up something so that every week we have a gaming session to play something outside of Flood. We have done this a few times before, mostly right after a meeting, but we don't do it nearly as often as we should. It's a good way to bond with our regulars and staff, also to have just some unhinged fun. Note that this thread is different from the Recommend community multiplayer games thread. However we can use that thread as a reference to finding good games to play each week. I would prefer to do these every week on a Saturday or Sunday. No one is required to show up and play, it really that I'll set a time and either show and and play or don't. This week we will be having a gaming session after the meeting. Currently the two choices are The Hidden and Goldeneye Source. Both are free mods that you have to install outside of steam, however you can put a shortcut to your steam library once installed. sound off on what you would rather play. If you want to play it, then please go ahead and have it installed so we don't have to wait for you to install it when the time comes to play. If we are even on what we want to play, we might try to play both.
I think we should revive the godly game Zombie Panic:Source or Fistful of Frags just because why not? Also Pass the Whisky
Bruh I played ZP:S so much when it first came out. Sadly it's so dated right now that I have no urge to play it again.
I've played the Hidden very long ago and I would love to try GoldenEye, but hey, I like both already if GE is just like 007 for the N64.
I could setup a server for this if you guys let me know ahead of time. It's worth mentioning I generally schedule Jailbreak events on Saturdays, so we'll have to avoid overlapping these gatherings if we can @Decap.
We talking about source mods? How about Zombie Master 1.2.1 or Zombie Master 2? ZM 1.2.1 is dead but it's still a great concept. One guy is the 'zombie master' who spawns and controls zombies, he can also set off traps and stuff, and has a bunch of things to use. The rest are the survivors, who have to accomplish an objective in the map. There are fun maps with no set purpose, and there are atmospheric maps which set the mood. I've never played ZM2 but I've played 1.2.1 a lot. It would be nice to revive it. We don't have to have a server for it cause it would be barely played, but doing it once would be fun. We can just populate an empty server and hope others join. A bad thing about this mod is that of course, the ZM is just a one-man team and will probably lose most of the time, given that we are coordinated in TS and all that. Here's the link: http://www.moddb.com/mods/zombie-master/downloads I take it you all know how to install source mods, but if you guys don't know I'll tell you. Take the zombie_master folder and put it in steam\steamapps\sourcemods. Then, restart your steam and it will be in your game library.
