So today I have seen 5 times already in the case of teams trucing, it is getting very annoying and very unfair. Can we some how restrict this? is there a way we can add something in the next update that blocks trucing? like jeeez, these people below teamed 3 rounds straight D: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=545747211
No, there really isn't anyway I think would even be possible, if you see it though, try to report them or ask for a staff member on the shoutbox, I'm always on the shoutbox looking around.
I mean im on like 8 hours a day I see so many people break this rule, I have to file over 20 reports, not going to lie, that will take an hour. I have nothing to do, I do put in the shoutbox as well, but theres nothing I can do, and its a pain
It does not even take that long... Before I was staff, and made ban request, it did not take longer then 2 minutes each.
You're completely wrong. The rules were changed like 6 months ago, how did you not know this? If you truce you can be banned.
Nice to know no one noticed me leave for awhile after me and @Rick had a arguement on the shoutbox a long time ago. Also trucing wouldnt be the right word since I really just sit in a corner and say 'plz dont shoot meh' and hope no one is a dick. (<--- Worst word-er right here)
Trucing is a broad term and it depends on each persons perspective on whether or not they are doing so. Sitting in a corner and hoping no one shoots you probably isn't trucing, but any other admin could think otherwise if there is a ban request against you or they see it themselves.
I used to think the "no trucing" rule was a good idea until I realized how easy it is to get called out for trucing let alone how easy it would be to get someone banned for it. Maybe one day when I have free time I'll have to overload the ban requests forum with manipulated screenshots and video just to prove a point.
I legit stopped reporting this because its to frustrating to get the screenshots, then upload it, its very annoying seing that everyone, EVERYONE truces
I said it before and I'll say it again. The problem with this rule lies in the fact that you can't possibly shoot every single boat at the same time. Which opens the possibility that someone thinks you are trucing AND the potential that they open a ban request on you. Its far to easy to get someone banned for trucing. Don't believe me? Look at all the evidence in the accepted ban requests. Sure those people weren't shooting each other. It may have just been a wrong place wrong time sort of thing. You would need an assload of evidence to prove that the people being reported were doing this every round. In which case its probably not worth the time and effort. Edit: I almost forgot to add some important details. Whats the best way to combat out of control trucing when administration is not available?
I agree it's a weird rule but it keeps things as fair as possible. I usually do not accept a ban request unless there is a lot of evidence showing they were trucing for multiple rounds. There are times when I will just sit behind someone and not shoot them because If I do they will shoot me. It's not really trucing because as soon as I shoot them they will shoot me back. It's a strategy, just like I'll shoot the first boat that has people that are shooting me before anyone else. If they aren't shooting me, then I have to weight on A) can I shoot them without them knowing or B) Shoot someone else until they notice me or shoot me. There is no clear cut way to take care of people who truce without an admin around. Your best bet is to screen cap them and any chat that they might have to prove that they were trucing. Such as if they said "Idc if it's against the rules" or something a long those lines. Screen caps, demos, or videos that show them trucing for multiple rounds would also do the job. We have to be lenient and strict at the same time with this rule. Mods need to understand that in these cases there can be the benefit of the doubt and they should always take that into consideration. We don't want to ban someone for something that they didn't do or was misinterpreted as trucing.
