I think there should be a /bet function so you could bet on the winning team. Maybe like /bet 1000 TeamName or a menu for it. What do you think?
I personally think that is a good idea. While it really depends whether Donkie would approve it or not, I think that having a /bet system in the server should be beneficial to the users. This function will make the gameplay more enjoyable as well as encouraging players to make more money in the server. While I do agree with this idea, I've realised that there can be some problems that we have to address if we were to implement this suggestion. These problems / questions are: An increase in trucing within team members outside official teams in an effort to fix Flood matches and try to exploit the Flood economy as much as possible. This is something devastating and we will have to consider that. Possible large sums of money being bet on Team A by Team A members. I personally think that this indirectly leads to exploitation, especially if Team A happens to be a 4 member team while other teams simply have 2 or 3. Absurd bets such as 1 dollar bets on the team. Frankly, these kinds of bets shouldn't exist in the game and there should be a minimum bet limit to this. If this suggestion were to be implemented, I would highly suggest that there should be a minimum bet limit, along with a minimum number of players for the /bet function to take place. This can help reduce exploitation of the system at best and can encourage fair play among all players without fixing Flood matches. Anyway, I think that this suggestion should do well for the community, especially when it stimulate the Flood economy and bring in more new members into the community. How would it pay out? Would /bet's go to some kind of pile or would the system create money from nothing?
yeah if you lose the bet you lose you money. If you win you win the amount everyone else lost plus your own bet.
What are the chances that enough people will bet for a pile system to actually work. I would say the bets would have to be matched by the system.
