Took some time to implement @Decap's predator missile suggestion. You can click here to check out a clip of me destroying my brother with it. Still needs tuned, but nevertheless it should be pushed with the next patch.
The real question is... can it decimate Dawson's menacing snake boats? Spoiler Yep, that's the only reason I would use that.
This is what I imagine when I see this: Team of 4 people on vending machine doors can predator missile anybody in the server, due to the fact there are no floating props that have 400+ health, it's an instant sinker.
Missile only does 100 damage currently but can be tweaked. Also I believe the cost is going to be either 75k or 100k per use so it's not like people will use it every round.
Yeah the point is that it shouldn't be overused and mainly just a thing for players that have a lot of money to have something to spend it on. If it was like all the other weapons people would use it every round.
Counter and I created a rendition of the snake. The snake 3.0 if you will, given two people could spawn props it was quite the behemoth.
Guess I'll publish the newest version of my catwalk boat (and anything else I've got) in due time. ______________________________ @Bayrock How large of a blast radius does an exploding hellfire missile have? Also, do the missiles explode upon making contact water, or do they keep do so when the ground is struck?
The radius can be altered, but it's currently about 30% bigger than the rocket. They only explode upon impact with a prop or the ground below it currently. That effectively creates the chance of missing the target entirely. As mentioned, the idea is players will need to pay for each use. Prevents it being abused, and gives the filthy rich players a fun toy.
Imagine the profit you'll get if you destroy a gigantic boat with exactly over 100 hp. (Probably 15% of the profit you'll gain back when you spend on missile.)
People need to understand the concept of the predator missile and why I brought it up in the first place. It's not meant to make you money, It's meant to have fun and for rich players to waste money on. Nothing should be able to stop the missile aside from missing you target. Spending 50k on a one time use weapon should never be able to become useless because someone can "deflect" or otherwise avoid dishing out damage. If you're worried about losing money with it, then you aren't ready to buy it. Price tag, damage, and radius can all be changed given player feedback, but the general idea of it should not change.
1. Star Wars Lightsaber, sword like plasma beam 2. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=111412589 3. ***VIP WEAPON*** I think that adding a lightsaber, for VIP, would bring in more revenue, and make the game more fun. This could be used on a pirate round, or a regular round. Right now the damage is an instant kill, and force powers come with the lightsaber (Ignite, Lightening, Force Push, Force Heal, Force Bring). These powers, and the damage of the lightsaber would need to be changed to a reasonable damage, and no force powers. The color can also be changed along with the hilt of the saber. Spoiler [spoiler/]
