I'd like to make it a reminder that forum posts shouldn't be taken too personally. Posts over the internet shouldn't be used to evaluate someone's character 100% and a lot of the time especially on Devinity many of the things we say aren't personal. Hell, a while back I know Alex disliked Rick over his forum posts and they made up a short while after and became friends. It may not seem like it from all the drama that's condensing but I definitely do not dislike @Decap, @Applcore5 , or @Dawson, and I doubt they dislike me personally either. They do their damn jobs well. Even @David made up with Rick even though it seemed like he was hell bent on hating him.

Obviously there are certain exceptions such as when someone begins to make actually personal insults, but for the most part curses or snide remarks shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Humans, under the shield of anonymity are certain to act overly stubborn, or aggressive. Take a look at 4chan. It's practically proof of what I'm saying.

I don't mean to encourage insulting or disrespecting others but I just wanted to remind everyone that they shouldn't be offended, or at the very least too offended, at my posts or anyone else's posts.

If I offended anyone over my cynical posts I apologize sincerely, and I hope no one did.

I thought this would be common knowledge but I may be mistaken. Thanks.

While you make a good point and yes people shouldn't take many of these things personally, Staff as a whole need to learn to separate their mod duties with personal opinions. There have been a few small instances where my emotions got the better of me when doing my job, but that still isn't a good excuse to do it that way. I want to extend that notion out to all staff that it simply isn't the best way to go about doing your job. I understand some people get very heated and passionate about certain topics that come up, but when trying to relay your side of the topic by throwing slurs and random cursing into the mix, it makes it very difficult for other people to take you seriously. Try to maintain your composure when talking about serious topics. Get your point across by using facts and evidence to support your claims, not by throwing insults at everyone who disagrees with you. Basically don't be Donald Trump.

I feel this this is directed to me as well because I admittedly have done this. I'll try my best to prevent it from happening again.
