Hello, My name is Pancake and today in one of the Devinity Flood Servers, A player known as Seth abused his powers by Spamming the Vote Privileges. There were more than 80% of the people in the flood servers disagreeing with his actions by spamming the vote option for his player ability. The time I started recording was late in the situation, but when the event first started to grow, there were more than 15 people. Seth strongly believed that when someone disrespect somebody, he has the right to take actions for the person being insulted and this is what had happened today. A Player named DeathStroke was being insulted by two players, but he took them as a joke, which is what the intentions of the two players insulting him had thought. Just as a joke. They were all having fun until Seth had joined the lobby. He had a big argument on why he should kick them, but then the situation changed. DeathStroke had disrespected Seth (Which did not happen), according to him, and felt that he needed to BAN DeathStroke. Almost all the players in the lobby had disagreed with Seth and felt that he should be revoked from his rank. *Seth has also banned at least 3 people in the same day for no reason at all. Take a look at Seth's vote spams. There were 2 Gold members in the room when it had happened and he had also disagreed with Seth's Actions. He unfortunately left before I started recording.
Ok so first, I would like to review the rule for abusing/spamming my power, it states, "Do not abuse/spam your voting privelages. (do not 'Skip Phase' purposefully to disrupt gameplay using vote kick/ban for redundant reasons.) This was no redundant reason, he had disrespected me and other people and continued to do such things even after a warning and a votekick, I have a couple extra long videos that I can upload momentarily that might help resolve this situation, but first I would like to respond to this players post, his words. Well, it just so happens that 80% of the people on the server were also rule breaking, I even votekicked a couple of them and they continued to disrespect as well but I was in the middle of attempting to voteban DeathStroke. No, I strongly believed that when someone disrespects another player on the server, that I would uphold the rules and not let them disrespect another player, that's what happened today. DeathStroke was being picked on by a group of disrespectful members because he was younger it appeared, but he was also throwing insults around at people, which was not ok. DeathStroke obviously did not take them as a joke and was very upset, and the other players were not joking either, they teamed up together when I started disagreeing with them about breaking the rules and started saying they were joking, I'm pretty sure pancake himself threw some insults in aswell. No, in fact quite the opposite, no one was having fun until I joined the server accept maybe the people picking on DeathStroke, it seemed everyone started having a great time ganging up on the one guy sticking up for the rules, obviously there were a few people sticking up for the rules with me but they were few in number. "He had a big argument on why he should kick them, but then the situation changed." It wasn't really an argument I was just telling them not to break the rules and they were doing just that. Yes, the situation did change, it changed from me telling the people disrespecting DeathStroke to stop, to telling everyone to stop disrespecting. Yes, after DeathStroke had disrespected me, and many other players, and had already been warned and votekicked, I felt I needed to BAN him. Yes, like I stated before, almost everyone in the lobby were breaking the rules aswell, the people among them that weren't and disagreed with me were most likely encouraging the breaking of rules themselves, which is not allowed. I had banned one other person and his name started with cookie, he had also got a warning and a votekick after continuous disrespect and was banned. I votekicked one other person I believe (one of the people picking on DeathStroke) and he had been warned about disrespecting people and continued to do it aswell. There was one and he was encouraging the breaking of rules and broke some himself I believe, this doesn't help your case, also, he didn't leave, he was there until you left I believe. and then stayed some more. Now that I have responded to his accusation with almost no proof of what he says I will look through a couple LONG demos I have looking for the one with the proof I need, or couple with the proof I need. This shows Pancake laughing at the insults that the people insulting DeathStroke make. Now since I have this recording I can get all the steam ID's of everyone I am going to want banned for breaking the rules (the list is long), or can you just ban the people without the steam ID's after seeing this video? Or could I just put their steam ID's here for convenient purposes? EDIT: I apparently stopped recording for a large chunk of time and do not have anymore to post about it now, although I believe this is sufficient proof that I am not lying and what happened happened.
Based on what I seen heres my opinion/conclusion. @Seth In the beginning and most of the way through you did a nice job with handling those unruly players. However near the end of the demo you opened a votekick against Death and this was a mistake and something I would consider very minor abuse. Death didn't deserve to be kicked and I actually seen TWO people who should have been both kicked at the very least (see below). Death didn't seem to be bothered by these guys and probably didn't need you to interfere. What should have happened is that you should have just let this go and told the peoplewho were being verbally bullied in a !pm "If these guys are bothering you, let me know and I will open a vote kick for you" or "If these guys are bothering you, press TAB and click the volume icon to clientside mute them" I watched cookiemonster (STEAM_0:0:20561947) prop push TWICE!!!! PhaZe Nova (STEAM_0:0:85160157) probably could have earned himself a kick for how extremely rude he was near the beginning but nobody else was really complaining. Conclusion: I don't think @Seth really did any major abuse and, with all the crazyness past us, I think we can all just chill. I don't think Seth should be banned to be honest. He was just trying to help as far as I can tell from "this" demo.

@Seth Read When it is NOT a good idea to open a vote kick/ban? You obviously broke most of those rules.
Lets review the rule again, or the NOT a good idea, "When a vote kick/ban fails (Only open another vote if the player does something wrong!)" He did do something wrong, and continued to do something wrong, I rest my case, we should drop this whole thing now that most of the issue has been resolved Pancake, if you have further issues tell them to take it to the unban request section of the forum, since you can't make the unban request for them, lets not just throw accusations at each other without proof, thanks.
I agree that it seems Death didn't need to be kicked that time and that was a mistake, those happen, I was just caught up in the lots of people breaking rules, and I did end up votebanning cookie monster after a warning and votekick, it was passed, he came back, but I did do that.
Forget that video. You are right. I do admit that Seth was trying to help, but I felt that he overreacted. Everyone makes mistakes and I sure made mine. I hope this situation will come to an end.
