This thread is for beer discussion, no cider, no spirits, not nada but malt. As a stab against yanks, I would like to propose that this is one of the most ungodly excuses for a Belgian that I've ever had the displeasure of allowing past my lips.
I still never buy Blue Moon bottled. Always on draught with a proper orange peel dropped into it. If you saw the other options you would know why I drink it.
I remember the convo we had about it but I had a pint here and it was very far from good. Could've just been how they cask'd it but I very much doubt it given that it's almost definitely done like a lager. Didn't get an orange in it but I've had plenty of light Belgians with and without, and a bit of peel certainly won't help.
Typically if the options are Bud Light or Blue Moon, I'm still picking Blue Moon. Worth noting I've never had access any another Belgian White. You could say Blue Moon is like the Bud Light of Belgian Whites. If I can choose an IPA or other style of craft brew that's my favorite. I think it's unlikely you would be able to find all/any of the craft beers I'd recommend.
I've just learned (from you guys) that apple cider is technically alcohol. That's great because I drank a lot of that. Am I apart of the cool club now that some of my brain cells have been probably deteriorated already?
Apple cider isn't alcohol, hard cider contains alcohol with apple cider. I had a locally brewed Black IPA while I was out to eat this week. It was delicious.
I can't tell who you're replying to, nobody discussed a cider/spirit. We did discuss apple cider.. which isn't alcohol.
its only in america that apple cider = apple juice, everywhere else cider is most often fermented fruit juice = alcoholic
Counter lives in America. I had Guinness in a limited edition bottle recently. Meant to take a picture for the thread, but I enjoyed it so much I forgot. Spoiler: Bottle I prefer hops to malts, but am slowly coming around to the dark side.
Yes cider is always alcohol unless you're a yank or vinegar Guinness is something I will 100% say you shouldn't drink off tap. Furthermore you shouldn't pour it from the bottle as it won't have a widget (which they put in the can but not the bottles) and you'll get shit head and thus a shit drink. (Really hoping you're not as degen as that guy in the picture that you sent that seems to be drinking it out of the bottle).
Bottled Guiness is specifically designed to drink from the bottle. I didn't see the cans, but I'll keep an eye out.
