I like to say that, the most humbling and unfair feeling moment during flood is starting off.
Feeling like everybody shreds my boat with their fancy shotguns or being vaporized by nades.:bomb:

While this builds ambition to "own the gun" "rethink boat builds" "git gud overall"
I also noticed that it's the same thing that turns away/Makes players sour towards the game

so to flood veterans: What is the best advice to give to new players?

and for others: What are your least favorite moments of Flood?

I think new players have to take it from both perspectives starting off fresh can and will be hard but you will soon rise and be like most of the people on the server and get decent guns. With that said the best advice to give new players is to use free props for awhile and build up that money for a decent weapon and to be able to use better props in the future!

and for others: What are your least favorite moments of Flood?

Personally I hate the zombie game mode of flood. I cannot kill a single zombie for the life of my but i just need to get better at my crappy aim! :p

As the one of most damage dealers on server i can give some advices for new players:

    1. Watch the props cost.
It may be really difficult for new players to gain profit when they use hella expensive props to create their boats. It's the one of easiest ways to lose your money that has been given for you to start your gameplay.

    2. Biggest boats not always good idea.
The more props you have on your boat - the more players want to attack you first, especially veterans that know how to deal easy fast damage. Splash damage weapons - your worst enemy in that way.

    3. Watch the weapons you use.
Damaging props equals gaining additional money. Not all the weapons supposed to deal massive damage, also some of them might be inconvenient in some sort of cases. For now, Galil and SG550 are the best weapons to start with in my opinion.

    4. Being defeated is ok.
Don't let losing make you upset. Even pros lose very often, because anything could happen during battle phase. You always have the ways to improve your skill and there will be many moments of you winning. We all came here just to having fun.

As a veteran, my biggest advice to give to new players is to start out by understanding buoyancy. Knowing how both your boat and the enemy's boat floats is key to your survival. I can't tell you how many times I've whipped out a sniper and capsized someone's boat because I noticed a core prop that was revealed.

Understand how to apply and relieve yourself of pressure. Biggest way? Don't freak out and stay calm. If you make mistake after mistake, it leads to your death. Force your opponent to manage their boat. Set their props on fire, or reveal a core prop so they have to turn their boat. Most of the time, the way people die is because they don't understand how to get out of that pressure the enemy put them in.

Remember: As long as they're throwing Molotovs or spamming Rockets, their damage output is lower than that of a rifle. Wait for your opponent to run out of Molotovs/Rockets and then extinguish your boat so you can make the playing field even!

TL;DR - Understand buoyancy and learn how to apply pressure. Shooting out core props and applying fire damage to an opponent's boat will keep you alive longer. Most importantly, always keep calm. Instead of worrying about how the enemy killed you, think about what you could have done better in that moment.

My least favorite part about flood has to be when you meet a sore loser. Don't be one!

Probably to not get discouraged if you're unable to team up with much stronger players (that is mostly stemmed from selfish reasons). It's a common trend that I've noticed for a very long time and it was off putting when I first started as well.

Least favorite moment was when BTTT got removed :(
