https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OnQCsK2t_B6awEhOZrH3EzW6G6lZJ6V4WwADq0CPraw/edit?usp=sharing I told you it was difficult, you should expect 4 pages and 6 programs difficult.
Cause we don't want players to download a shit-ton of addons that have ultra-hd textures that you can't see and eat away your hard drive. It is better to strip away the unnecessary crap and compress the textures and pack them in a workshop file. It also let's you remove features, say a tool setting, that you wouldn't players to have access to.
Pretty much this. An important quality that most garrysmod servers lack is a short loading screen. We don't want players to wait 10 minutes to join our server just because we have these super fancy HD textures nobody gives a shit about anyways.
Ah nuts.... If the guide caters only to existing player models on the workshop, then we're probably shit out of luck with the Black Knight. It's just a mundane model according to the workshop description. Rigging (and anything else I have no concept of ) would likely be needed before the knight could be put to good use.
You could add Kermit the frog and sonic player model which are for 100 tokens . also the Zeus player model since it looks amazing - 75 tokens
So it's been 6 months. I've received 1 anime player model this far. For those of you who've tried the guide, what was difficult about it? I could try to improve it.
So you just want us to do your guide and send it to you without knowing for sure the model will be added? :/
You can be well assured that I am NOT going to waste my time preparing ANY models unless you or Bayrock provide feedback. Assurance, per se, will de-grease the gears of the production line. You cannot realistically expect us to be clairvoyant.
What are you talking about. Stop being so hostile, of course I'll give you feedback. I just hav no feedback to give because nobody has attempted this. Several people were interested in helping me out and that's why I wrote the guide.
@Donkie I am not speaking of providing feedback for finished products, it is prior to compiling them in the first place. Apologies for portraying myself as overly aggressive. When time is made available next Saturday, I will attempt preparing model replacements that I had in mind for some time.
Well, I just did two playermodels. Dawson's US Riot soldier and Rollie's Lara Croft. I'll put all the ones I do here: https://app.box.com/s/br8ccv2uvo1n72z5wnnkjh37or1grysi I'll do the ones in Dawson's Halloween thread later.
It appears that the GMosh extractor has yet to be compiled for Mac OSX, which unfortunately I only have access to for the time being. This means that I will be incapable of assisting with model preparation until I gain access to my desktop. Apologies for being the bearer of bad news.
