Just gonna post this table here... Hope I got everything right. So retired staff rank will get the benefits of platinum except IG cash and tokens? Trusted players (regulars?), I guess, will receive benefits lower than Jr Mod (access to kick, un/mute, un/gag) and vote ban (max 1hr). If they need a longer ban, they can use '!banrequest <player>' ingame. Eh?
I think that this is a great idea except that the rank of trusted member cannot ban for an hour...perhaps maybe something along the lines of making a new command for said trusted member where it sends a ban request to all admins for it to get dealt with. The rank of RET. Staff should be just as said above. Just a thought. -Ph@ntom
There is already a command that submits a ban request to the forums, which I mentioned '!banrequest <player>'. The voteban can be used to ban a player from anytime up to a max of 60 minutes (1 hour), but players on the server must vote to confirm by majority. Trusted rank would be given to those who have shown that they can play responsibly and fairly, but would not like to apply for staff for their own reasons.

For your first rank, regarding "Retired staff": I think this is a bad idea for a few reasons. Firstly there is only a very low chance that a staff member will willingly resign and then continue to play on our servers. Usually people are demoted either because they see that they do not have enough time to play on the server (So they don't need a rank), or else because they are demoted for inactivity or being a shitty moderator, in which case I see no reason to reward them. As for your suggestion of a "Trusted" rank, I really hate servers that do that. In my eyes responsibilities should only be given to those whom ask for it, and we don't need to be giving out anything to players willy nilly without applications, to be honest I wouldn't want to give power to anybody that I wouldn't give staff to, and if I was willing to give trusted to a player, I'm certain I'd give them staff as well at that stage. And finally, I just feel that we really don't need that many ranks, as it is right now we're actually trying to reduce the complexity of the hierarchy here by removing the annulled S.Admin rank, there is a concencus between many of us that we really don't need any more ranks. These additions would just clutter our system up. Then again, you're free to try and convince me some more.
Well Rick, some people might stress out when they moderate, I know so many people that just get tired of it and want to quit and just play the game.
Well until many people start to do that, rather than the current 0 people, I think a rank for it isn't really needed.
Rick I totaly agree with you I see all of you ponits but still not all the servers can be watched 24/7 that is why we give a few people this rank and we try it out if it works we keep it don't we dont
I don't think you understand, if we trust somebody enough to give them Trusted, we'd trust them enough to give them Jr.Mod
I agree on that everybody should be given votekick. I am totally with rick on what he said aswell, we don't need any extra ranks. Maybe I should implement some moderator veto thing? If a votekick/ban is made, a moderators vote can always override the result of players votes.
!votekick only and it should be watched carefully. I would rather push the fact that people can easily do a ban request now by right clicking the persons name in the TAB menu.
