Rules​

• Mostly PvE. PvP is allowed if both parties agree.
• Hardmode must not be triggered before 7th of July! (This is to give everyone a fair chance of leveling up)

 

Although I don't have terraria, I would say yes. 25 players would be a good amount.

 

25 players is far more than we'd ever fill, it's only regulars who's gonna play basically.

 

I don't have Terraria nor would I buy it but I'd support it if people played it.

 

10 players would be fine, but where would the server be hosted?

 

I think UK is a good middleground between americuns and europeuns.

10 slots. Large world. Expert mode. UK is fine. If I come up with anything else or have any questions ask me or Decap. NO ADDONS, they ruin the experience. Whitelisted if possible.

 

well firedraft, wouldn't it be sort of prone to griefing without atleast the addon i suggested before?
and also, maybe the world can be reset weekly?

 

Whitelist would fix this problem. If anyone caught. They would just be removed. I would suggest putting import items in a safe/piggybank. Or single player world.

Resetting it weekly makes building not as satisfying. Build a base with chest full of stuff and its all gone in a week.

As far as defeating important bosses. Example would be WOF. You need to post here or talk to someone.

*Edit* You should have to "Apply" to be put on the whitelist. Apply as in just a place to keep track who is on and who is added.

 

Whitelist definitely minimizes any griefing. The downfall is, someone has to actually add people to the list. Not sure if Donkie wants to do that but I'll volunteer to help add people. I just can't do anything in the case griefing does actually happen.

 

hmm, i think the server should always be hardmode because it definitely has more value, but then new joiners without having items already would have a hard time trying to do anything
maybe we can donate starter items to them if that's the case?

 

HardMode should not be on until the main players wish to progress. We should be able to farm and get to know the new update before going into hardmode. This is going to be on Expert so it will be a lot harder then normal Terraria. Bring OP gear is also discouraged. We should also be forced to make new characters. Farming to an extent on SP world should also be discouraged. Lets say you go on SP and kill WOF and get wings etc. Then come back and you are OP compared to everyone and also can rekt any boss we have yet to kill.

 

so you are saying it should be more of a co-op world than anything else?

well, what if somebody joins after the main players decide?

 

He would have to get caught up. I was the one who had to last time. It wasnt a big deal.

We'll have a whitelist and I'll keep it updated.

No scheduled cleanings.

The world will be mostly coop, I guess people can PvP if they like but I want to see mostly PvE

 

I think 10 may be a little low, at least at first. 14 slots sounds better. Also make it password protected so we don't get random people coming in and messing with our map. Pass can just be devinity or something similar.

 

Or whitelist. Much easier. If they really wanted to mess with us, they would get the password. 14 players sound good too. Doesn't bother me much. Maybe a month reset?

 

yeah, a monthly reset would be fine
and even if one needs to go back, they can as long as the world isn't deleted
