As some may know, we have quite a few people who play multiplayer games aside from Gmod. Currently many people play Left 4 Dead 2. Some of us also play Worms Revolution. Those are fun games, but it can all get repetitive over time and in order to keep from being completely burnt out, we need other games to play. So in this thread, recommend multiplayer games that other people might want to play. Include at least a short description about the game as well as how much it costs and a link to where you can buy it. Obviously we all can't buy $60 games and some can't even buy cheaper games, So browser based or F2P games are good as well. Post in this thread if you have/bought/plan on buying any of these games and wish to play. Agar.io - A free browser game that is very simple, become the biggest "Cell" in the room by eating other cells. If you just use the normal website version, it's hard to play together. But if you take a couple minutes to get the agario mod for your browser, it is possible to play together with friends. Cards Against Humanity/Pretend You're Xyzzy - If you don't know what this game is, then you're in for a treat. It's a card game for horrible people and if you think you are the shining light of the world then you probably don't want to play this game. Free browser game and you can choose between dozens of card decks to play with. Rocket League - I'll be first to admit that I am not a sports fan other than watching Wrestlmania once a year with some friends. This game combines Soccer with rocket powered cars and demolition derby. It sounds dumb, I even thought so when I first heard of it. But all it took was one match and I was hooked. Very competitive and easy to pick up. No power ups or leveling, half skill, a quarter timing, and another quarter is just blind luck. It's just $20 on Steam and fully supports controllers. Brawlhalla - A clone of Smash Bros. but for PC. Currently in Beta and you can sign up on their website to get in for free or buy the founder pack on steam for $13. Not sure what all that entails because I got my copy from a Loot Crate. Still needs a few tweaks and to add a few features, but very playable and can play up to 4 players at once currently with controller support. The Ship - An older game that really needs to be revived. You're on a ship and have to find your quarry and murder them without getting caught by guards. find all sorts of weapons to take them out with all the while trying to avoid or kill your murderer. Currently only $10 on steam.
I recommend Awesomenauts. A 3v3 2D moba. Available on Steam for $9.99, but you can just buy it with one csgo/tf2/dota2 key on various trading websites. In the beginning, it might not be so fun/promising, but it really gets satisfying when you can get some good teamwork. Also, I play this game a lot and i'm pretty good. did that shamelessly
Smite- http://www.smitegame.com/ SMITE is the online battleground of the gods. Players choose from a diverse cast of deities and use their unique powers to triumph over the opposition in 5v5 team matches. SMITE is a new take on the MOBA genre; rather than observing from above the action, the game’s third person perspective puts players into the thick of combat. Instead of clicking the mouse to move, players use the familiar WASD keys to move and fight their way through SMITE’s dynamic battlegrounds. Currently free Love- Pokemon trainer
though i've never played smite, the problem with this is that finding 5 people to play matchmaking with is a hassle, and finding 10 people to do a friendly game will be very hard to do actually, can you even do offline games like that?
You can play with your friends, but I think the max for a friendly one is 3v3. (I could be wrong here)
Smite is a really really fun game once you know it. From my experience, your gonna get yelled at a lot when your new, but once you get past that you will be fine and rarely encounter douches. You also have to farm up points to buy new characters, so if you ever get into it, make sure you research all the characters and find the best you like. I personally like Neith, Loki, Thor, Ymir, Posiden, and Apollo
We do have a "community server box" that can be used to run any servers that you guys want to play on, it's currently running a terraria (A great community game) server but we could take that down at any time and put something up for you guys (Message Myself, Donkie, Bay or Decap). I'm pretty into stratergy games, as is Donkie and if anybody else is really into them I'm sure we'll play something with ya, just hit me up if you're interested. Age of Empires II - The game of my childhood. It's actually more expensive on steam than it is to go down to a second hand store and find a copy, but it goes down to like £4 or so during sales and you can buy it from most traders with some DLC for 3 keys or so. For those of you that haven't played it it's simply a game where you collect resources and use them to build an empire and crush your enemies, classical strategy game. Torchlight 2 - RPG hack n' slash that's very similar to Diablo if you've played that. It's usually pretty expensive but you can obviously buy it with keys or in a sale. I personally think that it's better than Diablo and it has a great co-op (Up to as many people as needed I think). OpenTTD - A free tycoon game that is incredibly fun. It's very basic and simply involves transporting goods from one place to another but leads to vast networks that is pretty fun to manage. Honourable mentions, Supreme Commander 2 and Command and Conquer.
The thing is the one on steam is better because it has actual working multiplayer where as the old versions do not. Plus it does look a little better than the old one, tho not by much. Not to mention steam workshop support.
i love c&c so much it's my favorite franchise of any genre but we can't really play it together unless it's over a lan network since the servers used are non-existent (gamespy shut down) community servers are used like XWIS
i have only red alert 3 on steam, but steam doesn't have servers for it. ra3 runs on gamespy, cnc3 runs on gamespy, and it just doesn't work you might be thinking of borderlands 1, which ran on gamespy and was supported by steam
really? i don't frequent cnc3 multiplayer because i never liked the infantry squad concept that's amazing though, any cnc multiplayer that can be done without having to resort to community launchers is fine by me i have cnc3 on origin though, can we play through platforms?
Town Of Salem Allrigth many of you migth know it or not u just can play different gamemodes and u can get Very Random classes like witch or werewolf but the point of the game is 2 win if ur mafia or a killing class kill the town if ur town Lynch all the Baddies it could be very fun while on TS With a alot of us on its Either 5 dollars on Steam or Its online for free
Dead Realm. It comes out this Thursday. It's a hide and seek game, the seeker is a ghost and when he finds someone he basically jump scares the shit out of that person.
