    Introduction
I wanted a place in where people could learn some stuff that really helps with how you build. I needed one when I first started and almost gave up on flood entirely until I learned about smart welding vs norm welding and such. If I leave anything out or you have some info I don't please comment it down!

    Information
First, lets give some insight to some basic things. The most basic is twisting an object. I always see a new teammate try to push something like a barrier to a vending machine and that's not the easiest way to go about that. You can hold the use button to manipulate an object in the air. If you have it set to a mouse wheel up or down, like how I would to perform a glitch with a barrel in Hide and Seek, it wont work at all.
    ----------
Next let's utilize the reload button with the WELD tool and PHYSICS GUN. You can look at a prop and press your reload key with the WELD tool to make it become unwelded with everything. You might have welded it to the ground, so release it of it's binds. With the PHYSICS GUN, double tapping the reload will unfreeze all props in the webnet of that prop you looked at while unfreezing. a webnet is any props held together by one another. If two props aren't necessarily connected directly, as long as their both connect to a prop that leads to the other last prop, no matter how many times it must go through an indirect prop, they are in the webnet.
    ----------
Join a team! This can help you gain money and survive longer. Hold 'q' to bring up the spawn menu and on the right side of the square, go to the teams tab at the top. Normally, people will invite you if you ask to join a team and if you didn't see the message telling you how to join using the chat box, then you can check to see if you have gotten an invite. If you're invited then the join box won't be as transparent/cloudy.
    ----------
Now let's get to some interesting stuff. The refrigerator is NOT for protection. it's to right something up. If you have a single pallet of money to stand on then put it in the water and weld it with a refrigerator at the very bottom so it wont topple. This goes for any unstable boats, and I use it all the time for two-story boats^1
    ----------
Use a buoy! if weight is a concern to your boat, then add something that'll float as well to make it stable! This isn't as effective however, especially if its not centered in the middle of your boat, plus if people find out that's your weak spot, they can shoot it and topple you. I find the underwater fridge works the best.
    ----------
Don't underestimate the power of buoyancy. Two vending machines can handle even eight barriers, a prop that is known as having a very bad power of floating! Make sure you guard your floating props with all sorts of doors, barriers, and barrels!
    ----------
Use the glass panes. At the very bottom you can purchase glass panes. I have made many superb boats but can never walk around without adding what most consider a finishing touch instead of the finishing prop. These will help with your mobility and will lessen the probability of you getting stuck your own boat!
    ----------
Stand still while the water is rising. This is such a rookie mistake. Stand on something flat/level with the X and Y lines in an X, Y, Z plane and have it so that you don't transition between the water and land too much. You should always make sure to never walk on your boat to look at enemies while the water rises. You can get stuck and if it just started you'll lose all or almost all of your health, although looking around with your mouse only is fine. Just stand still. If you do feel like your sinking and have fast enough reflexes, crouch immediately! If your legs get stuck this'll pull them out!
    ----------
Save a bit! Build a simple two Vending machine door boat with the right angled cornered doors to just wreck as much in the short amount of time your boat will last. Having a Para or Grappling hook would help a lot here. This can give you about 800+ income. Simple, devastating, and effective for getting out of bind you put yourself in for buying that rocket launcher with the last of your money!
    ----------
The use button can help you get back on! If you find yourself stuck in the water, it'll prompt you to press whatever your use button is. I saved this for last since it tells you to do it, but you might not have the time to read everything. Pressing the use button can even get you places that you couldn't before (I'm looking at you, HotDogLord while standing so close to me that I couldn't jump that one time)!

These are just the common knowledge I have gained through my dozen and a half hours of playtime. I'll be adding more to this later.

    1) I do not condone floating islands. Instead, use four pillars to hold something up, just don't make it appear floating.

i suggest to change the dark blue color when you're highlighting something to something else. it's pretty annoying to read. try simply bolding it or italicizing it instead.

    cool guide tho

    Really good guide!
This would've made my life so much easier in the start if it existed xD
The dark blue part is hard to read though, maybe use underline or bold like suggested on the post above.

This is actually incorrect, two prevent falling through your boat it is suggested to find the highest point on your boat and then crouch on it.

Blue color makes it hard to read if not on Lite Style. Other than that, great job!

This doesn't necessarily help. The worst is on angled props for me, meaning taking a 45 degree angle from the X and Y lines and standing on that. Crouching will only disable your chances of getting out if you are getting pulled under because you can crouch out of it if you're fast enough, and you just helped me add more to that information! Of course the height does matter I suppose, because thinking about how coding works if you transition between the water and air it would be the same as switching from swimming to walking really quickly, causing a bug.

Thanks for the input! I changed the color to an orange that counters the dark grey really well.
