So we all know Flood 2.0 is coming and it is gonna be awesome. But everyone knows when a new major update happens a glitch, bug, or a feature that everyone hates. Dedicating a server and making a temporary beta server out of it would still let people play on the new updated version but also fix any major holes. Instead of changing everything at once, do it to one server and see what needs to be done. And if the new update has a major issue with it, only one server will have the major glitch. Thank you for taking your time and reading this post.
I'm up for beta servers. I brought this idea up in the past but we didn't think enough people would be interested in joining. Anyway, I'm in support.
We do have test servers where staff gather up and test new features before they go live. We've already done this for some of the Flood 2.0 updates so Donkie can fix any problems. We will probably do another before the full release. I've got a VIP idea to where VIPS can get invites to do testing with staff, however it has not been implemented yet.
I think this is a great idea , it's much easier to balance features and find bug's / exploits when you have a bunch of people just playing normally.
I believe we should host a conference the night of 2.0s release, that way enough staff are there to test it out.
