I have a couple of suggestions for the Devinity community and Teamspeak with explanations to them. - Expand to other games ( We have devoted players in the flood but that's it, not everyone even uses the TS and if they do its a mod, usually, having different games we provide services on will expand our community greatly and the use of Teamspeak.) - Expand the types of game modes we offer ( Similar to Expand other games as the fact that it would increase our community and use of Teamspeak.) Some of these games could include (Minecraft, Team Fortress 2) Some game modes could include (Deathrun, Prophunt, Parkour)
-Minecraft is shit -TF2 is shit -Deathrun is shit -DarkRP is shit -Parkour is shit -Prop hunt is actually pretty fun, which is why there is a quadrillion servers for it. And they all cost money, it's better off to stay the way it is for now. The majority of the flood player base aren't on the forums s0 a very little amount of people would shift over to anything else. Also, most of the game modes and games suggested are overflowing servers and so there would be no point in adding to it.
Communities are killed by dark rp. I would be down for a deathrun server but at this time I feel like flood should be the only thing being focused in. If devinity ever decided to do something such as deathrun I would be fine helping out. I've owned deathrun servers and I have a buddy who would help out. But still, I would say keep things how they are and expand to possibly deathrun, maybe murder or prophunt, and maybe retry TTT or jailbreak.
We're going to expand soon after 2.0 hopefully. I'm interested in DarkRP but ONLY Vanilla. (Tried that before months ago on post-conference gaming session w/ Donkie but no one cba to join )
From what I have heard about the jailbreak server is Devinity had issues with Roleplay servers before. Taking DarkRP on could damage the community immensely.
I guess from what it sounds like, adding a DarkRP* would be he equivalent of administering a lethal injection. We should analyze our options for relatively "safe" gamemodes and build upon them. So far we have Jailbreak and possibly prophunt (?). --------- * What's 'Dark' about Dark RP?
On my opinion, such gamemods as Deathrun/Prophunt could really help with attracting new players. They are quite unique and interesting. Can't say the same thing about DarkRP.
Just don't bother with RP gamemodes, I'm interested into possibly hosting numerous ones (like Cops n Runners, Bug Boys, Melonbomber, etc.) that haven't gotten the light of day for us to play on gaming sessions
They look more like mitotically splitting aliens rather than insects, but it still looks nice. It may have been a while, but I might have seen that trailer before.
Why do you think I left Star Wars RP? Star Wars RPs concept is good but has been ruined by multiple kids playing the game and other stupid things that I do not want to get into detail. Hogwarts RP is literately dumb.
That's probably the most opinionated excuse for a response ever. People say that about flood, hell even people say that about gmod. Devinity has always liked to remain unique with it's game modes. As stated by the founders. star wars rp, darkrp, and death run are extremely popular gamemodes with hundreds upon hundreds of servers. This is exactly why jb failed, not enough for a small community like us to stand out. HRP would be pretty perfect for Donkie actually if you knew anything about him.
