Betting Here is how im thinking it should go before the get on your boat phase people has to have made their bets on the team /player if you win by getting the team right x2 back if you win by getting the player right x3 back up to debate with the rates
It would be a failure for a bunch of reasons. 1. Its not a really good idea to make bets in a gamemode that isnt really random and relies on how many unlocks you and your teammates have. 2. Since there arent many regular players on the server, you can often encounter a whole server full of defenseless newbies with mp5s and glocks. Place a bet on yourself every round and win! 3. Forcing players to bet on strangers sounds iffy, doesnt it? I really dont want to make a nerd essay on why it would be a failure and money farming/loss once implemented so have those for now.
I agree with yuukarin here. Betting discourages playing the game to earn money, incentivizing the setup rather than the actual gameplay.
Although I think it can be easily abused and might not be such a good addition to flood. you might be able to implement it on Battle Royale at the start of the round when everyone has a knife and the odds are evened. To prevent it from being abused/exploited you can make it so that: *The betting will not take place every round. *You will need a minimum amount of players (3-4) preventing 2 friends joining and abusing it. *You will need to create some kind of a circle or barricade around the players preventing them from escaping. I am sure that it can be implemented however I am not sure if it will be a good or bad addition to battle royale.
It doesn't really seem like a bad idea on paper but maybe we could inherit something or come up with an alternative to the betting system. Since you usually bet with your own money, maybe we shouldn't require that. I was thinking about setting up a bounty on a team that wins rounds quite often so that it balances rounds and gives other people a chance to win (encouraging fair gameplay). Rewards would be equally split amongst all players which is dependent on how much money that team made the previous round, and maybe a multiplier should be imposed as well based on how many players are present If that team wins again, they themselves get that money pool and a bounty will randomly be set on them again in the future unless another team wins. Maybe it'll be an interesting way to entice gameplay
