I've read and heard of it but I think it might be a little too shallow for my taste of psychological genre. If I'm craving a horror mystery sometime I'll check it out though.
Two psychological titles I'm procrastinating that I think will be obligatory for my tastes are Texhnolyze and Paranoia Agent. Also the adaption of Parasyte started airing this season and it's absolutely epic if you haven't been watching already.
Oh yeah idk why I always overlook it. I think it's because I need to be in specific mood for a mecha and I just always associate it with mecha.
And, I've been wanting to finish Gundam 00 second season for longest time. I got it the full series box set last christmas and never got around to the second one. I'll definitely have to check out NGE.
Its more of a deconstruction of the meca genre. Later during the series the mecs are not the main focus of the series. Trust me if you like psychological animes neon genesis is amazing. Even if you don't its still a good anime.
