Similar to the Juggernaut event with a few changes, this event would put everyone's skills to the test. Can you hold out as the Boss and defeat everyone else all yourself? Or can you get the other players to work together well enough to defeat the Boss? Build round changes: The selected "Boss" player should have an option to select which Boss they want to be before they start building their boat. Each different Boss will have certain aspects that make them unique. For example: Code: -Boss: General Grievous (Star Wars) -Special Weapon: Lightsaber, Does 20hp damage per swipe against players and prop, also catches props on fire. -Special Perk: Add 2+ to max prop count (from 16 to 18) There could be an upwards of 4 different Bosses to choose from. Details will be worked out if enough people like the idea. Spoiler: via Dawson Battle round changes: Similar to the Juggernaut event, Boss prop health will vary depending on how many people are currently playing once the battle round starts. More players = more prop health Certain Boss weapons will have more ammo to account for all of the players they must kill. Achievements: Boss Rush: As a normal player, survive and win against the Boss in less than one minute Just Barely: As a normal player, survive and win against the boss in which there is less than 20 seconds left in the round. Like a Boss: As a Boss, Kill all other players without losing any health 5 times. Body Count: As a Boss, Kill a total of 100 players. Hero We Deserve: As a normal player, survive and win against the Boss 10 times.
I'm all for this, I think this is easy to get a grasp on and is very easy to understand. I think could be a nice addition to flood also due to the teamwork and cooperation it would inspire, helping players bond and work together is great for game play and creating bonds in the community!
@Dawson I'm down with this event being as in depth as we can make it. Just keep in mind the more we add to it, the longer it will take to implement. We have Event ideas that got the green light 6 months ago and still haven't been done.
Granted that events do take time to be completed, but technically all focus has so far been invested on the Dogeball event.
Actually I think the dodgeball event had been abandoned. It's been months since Bayrock last gave any updates and I know for sure that Donkie hasn't touched it at all.
I had a very similar idea, but I thought about it and I feel like players who die could troll or otherwise try to sabotage the boss instead of doing what they are supposed to. There would need to be some kind of reward that would cause players to want to fight the remaining players instead of the boss. Alternatively the dead players could have a role where they would be prevented from being able to NOT do what they are supposed to. But yes we can iron out those details later.
That could work, but that still leaves a possibility of Death being the troll. Though I doubt it would be as likely given the undead he summons would help him win. Also I think we could make it so that the undead are just zombies. I feel that if they had guns that it would be a little to op. A Lot easier to deal with zombies who are just rushing you. Also there should be a cost or limit to summoning zombies. Don't just make it default that anyone who dies while Death is the boss that they become zombies. The player would have to do some sort of action to make one spawn.
@Dawson @Decap I think this is amazing work you've both done here with this event, it's prefect and you've put some much effort in I honestly believe it will be implemented and the community will love it! It's incredible what you've done and I hope it gets put in to help freshen up the game mode!
Instead of choosing a boss, randomize the selection on which boss you're getting so there is more varieties to play on so that one person don't pick the same boss over and over.
