Accepted Call admin command in-game

I'd say we should do this but for VIP members only. VIP's could call a vote and if enough people vote for it, a message would pop up in the shoutbox saying "[Name] has requested an admin on Flood Server #".

 

I love the idea, but I feel bad for regular users, that can't.

 

To many regular users would request admins for things that are not against the rules. I don't want to waste peoples time.

 

Yea I know, but just the few that does call for a staff when someone is breaking a rule.

 

They can request a ban on the player like normal. VIPs should be allowed a extra privileges for donating. If regular players wish to do so, they can either donate, add an admin to steam and ask, ask another VIP in game, or just do a ban request. There are many options, we would just give VIPs one more.

 

I say it should be available for all. There are certain instances where as a Jr Mod or Moderator you may need to contact an Admin+ for assistance in verifying a payment or for a server restart. A Jr Mod+ may also require assistance in dealing with unruly players especially if they're new.

I for one would love to have the option to request assistance for issues I can not resolve myself.

 

This would be for VIPs+, Jr. Mods are above VIPs so they would have the same perms as a VIP.

 

Makes more sense to me when you put it that way. The wording of the post I quoted seemed like this was only for VIP.

I cans ee how that would be confusing. Just keep in mind in the future that anything a VIP has a Jr. Mod would have as well.

 

I like this idea a lot, but the thing is, all users could just normally post in the shout box saying "Can I get a staff member on Flood #." So it seems kind of pointless to add.

 

We have well over 50k unique players in Flood (Last time I checked). Out of that we have 2.5k registered accounts on the forum. Which means a fraction of that 2.5k browse the forums let alone post in the shoutbox.

Not a lot of people are interested in being a part of the community. Most just want to play the game and have fun. So I think its pretty fair to give them the ability to call for staff without creating an account just to post on the forums. However I do encourage it.

 

And out of the 50k, how many of them are donars who don't browse the forums or JR/regular mod?

 

Maybe this would only be for some users, because VIP already have Voteban and Votekick, which I think it shouldn't be a benefit, this would be made to help those non-VIP to call an admin because they can't votekick/voteban.

 

But the point of this is for people who don't have forum account, why can't they just post on the shoutbox asking for help instead pressing a button in-game that someone has to code in?

 

The shoutbox was never intended to be a focus for people requesting help.

 

Ok, people keep thinking this is for the shoutbox, its for a separated cage on the side that shows admin calls, by who, when and where.....

 

There's no reason not to use the shoutbox for this. It's perfect.

This will most likely be limited by the player's level, as that's a good indication of how serious the player is.

Abuse will result in permanent ban with a wide warning text in the window. You're clearly aware of what you are doing is wrong. It's like cheating.
