@CounterCraftz may be able to help me with this. I haven't done very many gifs in Photoshop before and I'm having an issue with editing them. I'm wanting to add a santa hat into each frame of the gif in my avatar so that the hat stays on his head. However every time I try to merge the hat layer with the gif frame layer, that specific frame stays in the entire gif and doesn't disappear after the next frame. Any ideas on how to do this right?

You can try decompiling the gif into images, add the Santa hat to each picture and recompiling again.

Ah you need to layer the gif in between the background and the hat if you still have the layer format.
