I agree with @Donkie , you shouldn't have your sexual orientation be that much of an influence on who you are, and it's sort of strange to have people express it so forwardly, it's one thing to be comfortable with who you are, but it's another thing to use it as part of an introduction. Eg. Hi my name is Rick and I am the BIGGEST HETEROSEXUAL MAN YOU WILL EVER MEET. Seems a bit odd, doesn't it? No. Even if it is an inside joke (which are usually not mention around other people/on forums, hints the work "INSIDE"), It really isnt a joke. Jeez, you guys are making a big deal about this. If that's the way she wants to introduce herself, she can. It is not offensive, she's just saying that she is a lesbian. Okay, it was just a joke my bad if you did not find it to be that funny. But I do not really let my sexual preference run every detail of my life, I am semi normal person who lets being a lesbian be part of her life but not run it. I like to make jokes about my sexuality tho because if you get to know me you will understand that I am almost every stereotype out there, and I just find that funny.
