It's a tragedy to hear about kids killing themselves when they could have had so much potential! You can't hold yourself accountable for things other people do. Especially suicide. Its only natural be sad but don't let it consume you. Your friend is hopefully getting the help he/she needs. Drinking is ok but you shouldn't really use it as a crutch for your problems. School is probably the single most stressful thing I have done in my life. It aint easy. Thats for sure. You're going to get REALLY tired of it at some point but thats when you're close to graduating. You have put effort in for it to reflect properly on your report card, so please try hard to get through school. It does NOT look goof on a resume when you drop out of school. School should honestly be top on your worry list. Anger issues aren't good and they are probably stemming from the fact that you aren't sleeping good because of your nightmares. Be sure to tell someone if you can't sleep. Sleep deprivation causes all sorts of nasty side effects including mental illness, depression, mood swings ect. Look up some natual sleeping remedies and maybe you can find one that works well for you. You have to break the cycle eventually Alucard. Look towards the future, not the past. Whatever problems you have now are only temporary.
