Why this new event? As many people were against no-collide because it was to op for some boats, admins decided to remove it, since that people have been requesting to put it back, all requests were rejected because vote of majority. Instead of placing it back again this event could fix this issue with users as they could have a round to use no-collide. How would this work? This event would pop up randomly like all events. In this one the no-collide tool will be available to use in props. Rules in this event would be placed by admins including the MOTD. Same as all 4:30 minutes to build a boat using this tool, of course there are people who don't know how to use this tool, well they can simply build a regular boat using weld. To make this shorter it would be like the original game-mode (actual in devinity) with no-collide.
It has nothing to do with a majority vote as the reason we won't put it back, it's gone because it's broken.
Having a random event like this is redundant because it completely defies the fact that the tool is removed and will stay removed based on what @Rick said (it's broken).
I don't like it and think its pretty pointless. No-collide was not all that useful as a tool other than making your boat so small that people couldn't shoot it and had the added benefit that explosives didn't work on it. Rather than making suggestions to bring back tools that were removed because of malicious exploits, why don't you come up with some ideas that give you the benefits of the exploit? For example, a tool that allows you to protect your props from limited amounts of explosive/fire damage. Things like this are far more beneficial to everyone than letting people abuse an exploit.
I have to say that you consider "broken" is wrong. The tool works fine, if it was broken an update to gmod would be lauched fixing it, but no, because its not. You consider broken as in the sense "its to good" or "it makes boat fire resistant", well first of all with graneades all matches I play when a graneade lands on a boat and explodes only 2/5 make damage to it, and 1/4 rockets actually damage the boat or ignites it. And yes, it makes Op boats, thats why you removed it, not taking into account the fact that is "broken". I also have to say that during a discussion with I don't remember who about no-collide being removed, I quote as many people said "it was removen because it made OP boats". Well then, if that is "op" shoudl all big or good boats be removed only because they are good, and if graneades or fire doesn't affect it then there isn't anything wrong with the game but the guns/addons/plugins. If you don't like the conventional no-collide tool there are other alternatives, such as addons...........
What are you trying to say? I can't understand. Also, one part of it was broken, in a way. The right click option made props sink.
I agree 100% that sometimes it glitched but all tool guns do, so as the physics gun, when you move your boat in the last second the prop you were holding with the physics gun becomes almost all the times like super heavy and sinks your boat, with the weld sometimes it deletes my props or makes my boat stuck to the flood and the smart weld sometimes doesn't respond, although when you right cliclked it made the prop non-phisical which means it didn't counted.......
