Since there is 2 admins at the moment, I was thinking maybe that we can promote 1 or 2 moderators to a admin.. Suggestions- Dr.Pit Dawson (I would have recommended Rogers, but he recently got promoted.)
Banning people is not what having a staff team is for. Ban is just a tool same as every other command. The main reasons for having administration is to keep the server under control (Main reason), having someone who can offer assistance to players and someone as a role model to represent Devinity. Otherwise you're just a player yourselves.
The forum bans controlpanel isn't strictly linked to player rank, it's only been given to admins as "beta", if we determine we can trust someone with it then it'll be given, we just haven't gotten around to that yet.
Yes, of course staff members are meant to moderate the servers and represent Devinity. However, keep in mind that most staff are still in school and have schoolwork to complete. Others are busy with work, life, and such. Honestly, a promotion to admin would be nice, but won't really do anything. If promotions are going to be done, it should be the Jr mods, as they are usually the most active.
Cough me Cough I'm currently limited to things I actually enjoy to relieve stress. (I'm bombarded with school work). Although I usually have time to view the forums while doing school work etc. So I wouldn't mind taking care of ban request. Although I would need a little help before getting started.
Most of the Jr.Mods have not been that active lately (Including me). I am mostly on Gmod at 5-9 Pm Central Time.
Currently the only issue with the Ban CP that I know of is the same thing that affects bans over all. Most of the time you can't use a steam id to ban someone, you need to convert the steam id to a community id first then ban.
