Report on gold members abusing privalages

I was playing devinity flood on server 1 but then two people (there usernames are) CowSpecialist and ALargeCetacean were using thrusters which I thought was normal for gold members. but I built my small but and floated up and I was talking to them saying "why aren't you shooting me". But they replied, "were just having fun and doing what we want." I thought the rule was you had to shoot people until the round was over so I started shooting them. I killed one guy but then the other guy banned me for 60 minutes. I was following the rules! Why should they ban me. I shouldn't have been banned. I've been playing on this server for a while and its my favorite flood server so I think you should know that CowSpecialist and AlargeCetacean are abusing the gold membership

 

Was it Cow Specialist or AlargeCetcean who banned you, do you know ?

 

This is very Ironic... Just now I got on and I was playing with Arch, and Hiro254 came on to server#1 and informed me about 2 staff members votebanning him for no reason. I went to server #2 to ask them. And as soon as I started asking, both of the players left. And I didnt get their statuses fast enough. But, that seems fishy to me after I questioned.. they left. And Hiro254 did say that he was VoteBanned, and Gold has that ability. So Oniel is prolly telling the truth.

 

And the 2 staff members that did this were the 2 gold members that Oneil is talking about.

 

First of all they are not staff members nor mods, VIP's can vote kick and vote ban.

 

Sorry, I ment Gold members. CowSpecialist changed his name to Ninja.

I really appreciate you taking the time to make this report. If our VIP players are abusing their powers, I want to be the FIRST to know!

Now, in most cases I do require for player ban requests. However in this particular case, all vote commands are logged nicely in our database. So with the information you've provided, I'll look into this.

If I find that these two were indeed abusing their power. Then you can expect to not see them on our sservers for at least a week. Then, if it happens again, I'll just simply remove their VIP.

Oh, as an added reassurance based on previous comments on this thread. If these two were abusing and then thought "Damn, I'm caught! I'll change my name to something silly so the admins don't know who I am"

WRONG! Every time you say something in chat, every time you die, every time you spawn a prop, every time you use a command, it is all logged. Changing your nickname on steam doesn't change it on the log file. So I will catch the players (if guilty).

Unfortunately in this case since the OP didn't provide us with any video evidence So there isn't much you can do. Even as awesome as you are. The best way to help right now is to be active on the server .
