You read that right. It's after a lot of contemplation that I've decided to resign. I've been on a hiatus for some time now, around 3 weeks, and it's given me some time to think about things. My reasons are personal and to those that it matters most already know why. I've been deliberating this decision for some time, even before my hiatus. I had hoped that a short break would change my mind, however it seemed to do the opposite and solidify it more. I'll never forget this community and all the good memories and friends I've made. I'm not disappearing either, I'll just not be around as much. Life has a funny way of showing you what really matters most. I think Devinity will do just fine without me here to be a hard ass. Jeff has been doing great in my absence, so I do expect he will continue to do well after I'm gone. In the meantime, when I do have some free time to myself, I will still be on the forums, steam, and teamspeak from time to time. Feel free to hit me up or come play a game with me. So, this is my real post. I wanted to take my time to think about what I wanted to say and wait till I had a few moments to do so. (Had like 5 mins before). Anyways, I wanted to personally thank you for all of the hard work, the dedication and most importantly... I wanted to say, In the case you don't return to the Staff team. I wish you the absolute best in life. As far as I'm concerned, you are more than welcome on the staff team at any time. I am honestly sad to see you go. It was great having you, even though we may have not gotten to meet on a personal level. I appreciate your criticism and I will continue to do the best I can, where possible. I'm not the only Grammar Nazi here. While me returning to the staff team seems doubtful, I won't say it will never happen. I'll keep up with you guys and the community as a whole. Who knows what will happen in the future though. I don't mind to be more of a consultant for everyone to help in general things, especially if you have SA questions. Thanks for the kind words though Jeff, you'll still see me around.
thought i'd never live to see the day we've had our differences, and we've been less than friendly to each other often, but i do give you all my respect for the effort, time and dedication you've shown for devinity for this long, despite your problems irl hope you resolve whatever it is you're going through
Same to you. Although I do not have any "problems" per say irl. It's just that life is getting very busy for me and I cannot dedicate the time like I used to be able to.
I didn't really get to know you on a personal level and that's ok, you seem like a great guy though so I wish you happiness in whatever you are doing, don't forget to enjoy yourself in whatever it is you do in life. ;3
