You'd be correct! Zankyou no Terror isn't necessarily exactly what I expected from it but it's certainly a compelling title this season. I love the psychological genre and any obscure or mature topics so it was obligatory for me to catch it regardless. This particular moment in episode 4 when that soundtrack started playing though was captivating. Those type of moments are why I tend to enjoy anime. You don't find collaborations of arts and story quite like it elsewhere.
This is for you Bayrock.. I think Evangellion is probably the most psychological anime ever but more of the most psychological thing I've have ever seen..
You'll probably be upset to hear I've only toyed with the idea of watching Evangelion and haven't actually gotten around to it then. The 'most psychological' anime I've ever seen hands down is Serial Experiments Lain and it remains a strong favorite of mine. Ergo Proxy tied great philosophy and story in with mature sci-fi theme and you sprinkle the psychological genre on top; you get what I would consider my favorite anime. This is getting off topic now though so I'll post Ergo Proxy's OP: and Lain's:
