    • Props/Boat disappear When being moved near a wall. Also only happens when props are welded using smartweld. ex: I usually make my typical X design with about 12 props. I use smart weld then using the physgun I move my boat by the water and flip it so bottom is now up. But If I happen to push my boat to far into the wall, my boat disappears. Then once the round starts, My boat will appear out of no where at high speed, sometimes crashing into and flipping someone else's boat if it is in the way.
    • Occasionally the end round report will bug out showing I spent/gained/lost around $60000 in each section, but my actual money doesn't seem to affected. Not sure what causes it.
    • Only twice have I seen this, a player can successfully wedge themselves into my boat as if they were welded onto it (moving with the boat, only being released when the prop they are stuck on is destroyed).
That's all for now, I'll add more if they come up.

    Thanks for the constuctive report.

The only thing I don't understand is moving your prop near a wall making your prop or boat disappear. I've never heard or seen anything like that so if that's happening then either it's only happening for you, or the bug only started occurring recently, or it was always a bug and has gone unnoticed; which I highly doubt.

As far as the other things I'll look into them as soon as I get the chance, and attempt to fix them. But honestly I have also never heard or witnessed them either so these are oddball bugs to me at the moment.

Yea that's only happened twice, but I noticed both times it happened the same way. Never happened when I used to use normal weld. Now I'm just extra careful not to run into any walls.

It's odd that it's related to smart weld but good to know the details of your experience.

Thanks again for the constructive report.

That actually happened to me loads of times before, just never made a big deal out of it since for me it'll fly all over the place back to spawn lol

In that case this is likely because the prop has been detected to be outside of the map and attempted to teleport back to spawn.

I'll look into the problem, but I can't promise I'll discover any solutions.

The whole server lags when someone uses to many single props such as monitors, boxes, or barrels. It's the worst when battle round first starts and water is rising. It has also seemed to cause me falling through my boat if I'm not standing on a drink machine or metal door, Though I have fallen through before when there isn't lag, so that could be something else.

The prop lag is an issue that has always existed and is one reason that we switched from Windows OS to Linux in an attempt to lighten the load on our dedi. I also believe the tickrate is still 33 in server 1 and the tickrate in server 2 is 66 because we are attempting to evaluate which has the less lag in-game.

If you could try doing some extensive tests on whether server 1 or server 2 is lagging more or if they seem to be exactly the same that would be much appreciated. I have tried observing it myself but found it hard to notice a difference.

It lags when the water rises because all the physics in the game are happening at once. The best way to explain why sometimes this can cause you to fall 'through your boat' is by comparing it to elastic. Imagine you have a rubber band in your right hand and you grab it with your left hand to stretch it. If you let go with your right hand the rubber band will rightfully snap toward your left hand. It's this type of behavior in the Flood when the water is rising combined with the prop physic lag that brings the issue of falling through your boat.

The issues you mentioned are obviously something we're aware of, but it can take time and effort for us to find a solution, and only time can tell if we ever will. Regardless, thanks for your constructive report/concern, and thanks for support Devinity!

Couple days ago I was with 2 friends making a boat out of just boxes for the funzies, we had a boat made out of 48 boxes and when the round started it lagged like hell. I could try the same on server 2 sometime if my friends want to? To see if it's better in there because on server 1 it was hell lol.

In order to have a boat 'made out of 48 boxes' you'd have to either exceed the max prop limit of 15 or find a way to weld your props with players who aren't on your team. Considering both of those are not possible I'm only going to assume you exaggerated.

Regardless feel free to test the lag on server 2 as well, but please try to be sure not to disrupt the other players experience in the process.

    Thanks for the information.

I've been playing on 2 more than 1 lately but it will be difficult to determine if there is a difference. Mainly because the situations are impossible to be cloned on both servers. Example would be that we wouldn't be able to reproduce the same situations and results in both servers while it is public. My suggestion is that at a time and day where server traffic is at its minimum, close one server and have some staff and trusted regulars to get on. Have all players build their own type of boat and note how well the server reacts to it. Change it up and add more props the next round and look at the difference. Check the server status, latency and all the other stuff. Then jump over to the other server, lock it and reproduce the same situations in that server to see if the results are any different.

The only problem with having a closed testing of the lag is that we'd effectively be reducing the load on the server by a lot unless we were able to invite enough people to nearly fill both servers.

It's not necessary to halt the server to try solving this anyway because it can be tested while the server is live whether it's completely accurate/convenient or not. Having a closed environment wouldn't really help us find any answers that we don't already have, although granted it may help us see which tickrate is more appropriate if made the effort to organize such an event.

As stated previously the prop lag is an issue that has always existed and if we found some sort of solution for it then it would be implemented immediately. Until then the only thing to do is try drawing a comparison between server 1 and 2 when they have similar rates of activity so that we can squash the matter of which tickrate to use for both of them. If there is no noticeable difference then that is only more a reason not to strain ourselves investigating the comparison of the servers. Sorry for any inconvenience the lag causes you or other players.

Thanks for the constructive report and information!

Max prop limit is 16, i was on a team with 2 of my friends, the kind of boxes we used didnt have a limit same goes for the blue barrels, and you can just weld them all together if you're in a team. So i was not exaggerating but alright.

Original limit was 15 but thanks for correcting me because an even number made more sense and we changed it to 16. Otherwise you definitely exaggerated because that limit is shared with your teammates. If your teammate spawns 16 props then you can't spawn anymore otherwise it would be unfair for the lone wolfs, but alright.

The only way you could have done it is during a Team Event, so you should have used that excuse instead.

I think there should be some kind of prop limit during Team Round, at least for the cheaper props. I noticed on two occasions today someone was purchasing way to many blue barrels and the more they spawned the worse the server got of course. Just an idea :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the max limit of 16 still exists for each player, but the individual prop limits are lifted.

If that's not the case then let me know because I agree that we should include a limit.

It might have been a few players doing it together then. Next time it happens I'll pay a little more attention and maybe get a demo as well. I still think we should have a limit on cheaper props if possible or maybe increase the price just for that round to encourage teaming together.

I'm still not exaggerating, it wasn't a team round. I did it again yesterday on server 2 with my friends, didn't work out too well since there was lag but yeah. There is no "team" prop limit for certain props, but hey, no need to believe me. If you're in a team you can each spawn certain boxes or the blue barrels without hitting a prop limit. So each player in the team would be able to spawn 16 boxes/blue barrels. AKA you get to 48 boxes on a team of 3 which I was on.

We had an issue yesterday on server 2 that required a restart. It's very difficult to describe, but it was like the water line was higher for props, but not for people. Props would float lower in the water than they should, so unless you had a tall boat, you would start taking damage right away.
