I think the Deagle and the .357 should be buffed because they are useless towards efficiency. Most people in flood just sticks with the USP and/or the 5-7. There should be some possible way for people to be motivated to use those weapons instead of sticking to the USP and spamming the shit out of it.

The .357 and the deagle should have more accuracy and recoil whilist nerfing the USP and 5-7's efficiency (accuracy) as both guns will be buffed towards this suggestion. It would be a great starter weapon similar to the crossbow.

The Desert Eagle and the .357 are literally useless with the USP being a default weapon. The USP does 3 damage and shoot super quickly and super accurately, and the Desert Eagle and .357 shoot super slow and inaccurate, and you have to pay to obtain those weapons. Definitely need some sort of buff.

Either that or remove one of them completely. I'd say the Desert Eagle if that were the case--it has a larger magazine capacity, but it's accuracy and practical use just blows.

I think USP should be nerfed to 2 DMG just because its a popular weapon for spraying and it also encourages new players to buy other sorts of pistols.

I don't think we should take any of the guns out. If anything just give them a buff. I also agree the Deagle and 357 are HORRIBLE weapons despite hpw cheap they are. The starter pistol is better.

Instead of nerfing the usp, using a little from reality, the desert eagle, like revolvers, have high damage, really high, but that high damage has its price, low accuracy and high recoil, the deagle was know for close range combat and used mostly because of its high impact against armor such as kevlar (the most common one), also the deagle in real life there are many grades, like civil grade and military grade, the civil is of course worst, smaller caliber ammo, but specificaly the Desert Eagle.357 is mostly know for its high armour piercing and impact damage, of course this gun would be kinda useless in a long range combat (like the Para LMG), so I would say that the damage should be raised to like 6 at least, and its price should be up to more o less 7000$ as its a very popular gun as well.

I agree with Panci┬as. I have mentioned in the past to Bayrock that the Desert Eagle and 357 revolver should be doing about 15-20 damage for what they are. They're not even on par with the starter pistol let alone the SMG. Of ourse it can be argued that their cost just doesn't justify the buff due to the fact they're meant to be used primarily by noobs. To which I argue why have them be only useful to noobs? Why not make them useful for everyone? Like what what was done for bug bait for example.

But it's not being used by noobs, or at least shouldn't. They're both worse than the default USP. Because USP does 3 damage a shot, fires super quickly and accurately. Both the .357 and Desert Eagle do 4-5 damage per shot, shoot super slow, loads of kick to it, and is super inaccurate. What's the point of these pistols?

^ Thats the point. I've addressed this issue at least once to Bayrock himself. He didn't buy it so I left it alone.

There is literally no good reason to use the pistols in question when default weapons are far superior. Solution? Give them more damage to compensate for everthing. Giving these pistols more damage than the snipers isn't even an issue since they have no sights, insane recoil and pretty slow firing speed.

I think the USP should be on @Donkie's gun base instead of the HL2's so recoil can actually have affect because there is no recoil to both the USP, AR2 and the SMG1 compared to other weapons that aren't on the HL2 Base.

I don't think the USP should be changed at all, new players to the community need a weapon that is good to begin with when they're going against members who are experienced and have a lot of weapons (RPG, AWP, SVU, ect...) If you nerf the USP, you make it harder for new players to join and do anything.

They have a 20k start so who would dump all of their money immediately?

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't buy a ton of weapons to begin the game, I would save up for like snipers and RPGs. USP is a decent weapons for new players to be able to get money efficiently.

With the Deagle and the .357 buffed (if possible) they can focus on buying that and than save up for more efficient weapons.

I agree, the pistols in question are useless and I don't think I ever used them after I first bought them. A .357 Magnum should turn someones head into a canoe and the Deagle isn't to far behind that, yet both do very little damage to props. We should look into doing some changes for these.

I believe that if we want to balance the Desert Eagle so that it's worth using, the following changes could / should be considered:

Perhaps? Sort of grasping at straws for now. I'll come back to the Python later down the road.
