It helps stabilize props equivalent to the thrusters. There is nothing in the back that supports the weight or the front as well, the balloon is helping those 3 front barriers hold itself up. EDIT: EDIT: Grammar
no props were not equalized by the balloons my boat was connected to the one behind if it was not it would not work and flip over. baloons help yes but my boat does not work on its own I need another boat behind me to equalize the weight.
Yes, balloons can be used to lighten props, but one distinction that sets them apart from thrusters is their fragility (1 HP) and bulbous size. A well-placed explosion / Rotating a boat around to expose its "life-support" would be enough to quickly dispatch them. Balloons are an interesting mechanic, but most of the time they're impractical to use on account of being risky. For example, lockers can be made to float with a minimum of nine (9) balloons. While the prop itself innately has extremely high health, in actuality it's a glass tank, with only 1 HP (in this case) to boot.
I mean you can change to a smaller model or change the model itself anyways. I think this changes the game too much without having to spend any money to stabilize the props from tipping over.
