Hello, I've been doing some thinking and I've though of a new gameplay element that could be implemented into Flood. The features of the round could change from rain to fog for an example. A weather system that effects gameplay, here are some of the features that it could include: Fog -Fog covers the map and decreases the distance each player can see. -This would increase tension for each player would have to navigate through the fog. -This would increase close quarters combat. -A foglight could be available for purchase and could show a longer distance through the fog and would have it's own health bar. Rain -If rain is randomly selected then the sky would darken to night and heavy rain would pour down. -The rain would be able to slightly rock the boat causeing players to have to build a boat in a design to counter this allowing for more creativity. -Also, the rain could slightly blur the player's vison, this would present more of a challenge. Heavy Wind -If Heavy wind is selected the gusts of wind would pass through the map. -The wind would push the boats around meaning combat would change from short to medium to long ranges. -However, the wind should not effevt players as it wouldn't be very challenging, just out right annoying. Waves -Last, but not least, is waves. Waves would act more as bumps travelling in the water that are similar to the rain idea that has the boat rock but instead cause more damage. -If you were hit directly by a wave or large size it could have the potential to flip the boat depending on the weight. - Heavier props could be used to help balance the boat. -The waves could come in different sizes but not to large. -This would encourage the use of harpoons and boat motors to dodge the waves -The waves would add a whole new skill requirement to the combat system and would make for some challenging and fun times. Thanks for reading my thread and I hope you like the idea!
