Build good boats and inflict tremendous amounts of damage. Pan-handeling is generally shunned / frowned upon.
Make cheap boats, (2 Vending machines with 4 concrete blocks maybe a glass panel on top) that's less than 1k. Do lots of damage as fast as possible. Join a team don't beg to join the best team when you really suck, ask nicely and maybe they will let you join. Try not to waste lots of money and build 4k + boats and then do like 1000 damage and make no profit. make a back up boat. (The longer you survive the more money you will make.) Buy a sniper and a rocket launcher soon as possible, grenades are very good for damage too but you need to know how long to be to reach your enemy. You can bounce you grenades off walls too when they are close. Try not to build you boat next to a really good team. Make your boat in the corners be sneaky in your attacks. There's more but that's more than enough for now.
Spend less, do more damage, always have a back up boat. Your first boat will take the bulk of your damage. Most people tend to use their explosives first and guns later. So having a cheap boat that can take that initial damage is crucial. Then you can hop onto your back up boat to survive the rest of the round.
