We had a Halloween Theme, but we don't really have any others throughout the year. Why not make one for Winter/Christmas? Skybox is now cloudy skies but there is a small steady flow of snow falling. Once battle round starts, snow becomes slightly more heavy or falling at a higher rate Would go well with my Ice Patch event idea During build round, there could be small mounds of snow in corners. A Christmas tree with a few presents around it would be a nice model as well as a few present boxes scattered around similar to how we had pumpkins for Halloween. Large Present boxes could be used as a prop for boats with varying prop health depending on which one we choose. Workshop Christmas props that could be used Players would get random present drops similar to how we did during the Halloween event.
Great to idea to make things less dull and repetitive. I would love to see happen during the winter season! This is a cool idea.
For people who are for some reason convinced we don't already have one for christmas, we do, we had an event last year. Halloween is usually the bigger event but I can confirm we'll have something. But don't get me wrong, all the suggestions for new things are very much encouraged.
I am a Catholic that celebrates Christmas, but I think it would be better to include all the holidays.
Not to bad. We do need more themed player models and while these don't look super awesome or anything they will do the job.
I'd say use the following workshop addon, but our preferences would need to be converted into player models. Killing Floor DLC Characters "Nutcracker Soldier" / Palace Guard "Mall Santa" __________________________________ How about some (deranged) Teddybears? The model includes five (5) skins (one of them is a polar) and a hat bodygroup. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=564773784&searchtext=
In honesty it's because we still need to prepare the new Christmas features. We intend on releasing the event along with the next patch within the next couple weeks. We'll surely consider this thread, and all features from the event we held last year will be included as well. edit: Yes, we did have a Christmas event last year.
Another Santa player model has been released to the Workshop... and it's probably one of the best I've seen, period. This could be used to replace Santa Grigori, but the only downside would be that this model doesn't have a hat bodygroup
Hey, just to throw it out there: The Oogie Boogie player model that xpanix has been attempting to fix has finally been given a diagnosis! It seems that the original creator did a shoddy job with setting the model's vertex weight. Correcting it will solve the aesthetic issues. According to xpanix, if all goes well, Oogie Boogie should be viable for use in the next week or so. Out of all of the non-replacement model selections that we currently have to choose for the winter event, I believe Oogie Boogie would make a suitable fit. As is the case with the Jack Skellington model, this one has the peculiar distinction of being thematically appropriate for both Halloween and Christmas.
