I don't agree sorry. First off it doesn't fit the flood theme and secondly if things like this start to be added we might as well add Sanik music, 420 blaze it logos and so on.
I like gta and all but it just doesn't fit. Most of the time people will die the same way, in water with no other way of dying.
"WasTed" death notification (GTA) Post-mortem cameras (CLOD) "YOU DIED" death notification (Dark Souls) Slow motion w/ dramatic sound effect. Fade to black while in ragdoll 1st-person view. Could any of the above that are not crossed out fare any better? EDIT: We're avoiding anything with text to avoid aggravating users / pouring hydrogen peroxide on the wound.
To be honest it still seems really melodramatic. I could be wrong but I thought flood isn't supposed to be taken that seriously, which is why we have a ton of those joyful songs playing. Also it might further aggravate those that do take it seriously, seeing as it sort of obnoxiously shows that you lost.
We'll have to be sure to stay away from death cues that are embedded with text and drag on for too long.
Haha, this is an interesting and vivid idea. However, I don't really see it coming hand in hand with Flood gameplay and such. Furthermore, there is only one way of getting killed in the server, which is drowning.
Actually 2, when you get killed by a crowbar in pirate event or get killed by a zombie in the zombie event.
I pretty much agree with the above. This deathscreen would get very annoying over time. I do like the idea of a 1st person ragdoll view while the screen fades to black-and-white. We should also have the option to turn off the deathscreen in the settings tab.
