i got told that you dont get much auzzie players but maybe a smaller server (12 slot) for trial to see how many play it, if succeeds, a bigger server? idk just an idea, its just hard playing with over 400 ping
Our inferior 'competitors' made the careless mistake of opening an AU server, and it failed utterly as we expected it would. Now they have removed their AU servers, and decided to replicate our European model instead, because it's much more logical. Australian players should have no network or latency issues connecting to our existing EU servers. This is completely unnecessary, and has been proven unfeasible.
Plus on the basis of visits we'd be getting far fewer players if we just focused on teeny tiny Australia. Always start with Eurasia first, in my opinion....
Yes you make a valid point @Bayrock but some of the southern Australians have a ping of around 250 on the EU server and 300ish on the US server
Basically what we are saying is that it is not cost effective to get a server in Australia for a handful of people.
Basically I'm saying there would be no activity whatsoever on an AU server, and that has been proven by our inferiors.
We would afford an AU server, but it's tedious as it is to keep two server boxes updated right now, let alone a third and possibly unused one.
