New Flood Event: Dark Sky

    In this event it would be the same as the normal gameplay but after buildtime everything goes pure dark and the only way to look is to turn on your flash light or add lamps to your boat. Maybe to make this more interesting a couple of players would have night vision to see other players and the other would have to find them and kill them. If the the event of the 'Night Crawlers' gets added they would have less prop limit and the attackers would have the regular prop limit, the night crawlers would have higher damage.

    The immense lamp usage will create tons of lag.

    It has potential but would probably need to be tweaked. VIPs can use lamps any round, so yeah it might help them see, however they would stick out like a sore thumb in this event and would probably be targeted first. Also, it probably shouldn't be pitch black unless we have super flashlights to see.

    Yeah, normal flashlights have a very short range, every single user should have flashlights that can see across the map, also I think lamps should be disabled to make it even more dark for players.

    Lamp usage--even if just one gets spawned--would certainly degrade framerate. Assigning players with high-powered flashlights instead would help bypass the issue. If we opt for flashlight usage, we'll need to address the following questions:

    (1) How far should lights be able to travel?

    (2) How wide or narrow would a flashlight's field of view (FOV) be set to?

    (3) How much darkness would we intend to engulf the players in? Are we talking about evening darkness (such that there is some minor illumination from the night sky) or pitch-black darkness where you can't see anything without visual aid?

    (4) Should we consider adding minor quirks to the flashlight (e.g., having them temporarily malfunction at random intervals like in the Slender gamemode)?

    (5) What the heck are 'Nightcrawlers'? I know what they are in real-life context (wurms), but not so much for this scenario.​

    I've seen this in another server that is completely away from DarkRP.

    Its kinda like a zombie looking like skeleton with only its torsos. It can blind you when they attack and such.

    1- Half the distance of the X axis of the map so they would have to get closer to look instead because if not it would be pointless if your flashlight could light the hole map.....

    2- I was maybe thinking on leaving it at the actual FOV....

    3- Pitch black so they only use flashlights or other visual aid....

    4- I was maybe thinking or either cooling system (after using it for a while it has to cool down to re-use) or maybe make like FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy's) and make lamps have limited battery so they only use it when they mostly need it.

    5- "Nighcrawlers" (name of event) would be the exact same as dark skyes just that they are divided in 2 teams (like in juggernaut) where there are Hunters and Nightcrawlers, the hunters would out number the Nightcrawlers because the Nightcrawlers have night vision (can see in the dark like night vision gogles) which helps them out to kill Hunters, and Hunters would have a very short range flashlight and all their guns (owned). Also when the Nightcrawlers start shooting, probably (if the game has this already programed in it) the explosion of the gunpowder would make them visible to the Hunters giving very short blasts of luminosity to be spotted, that would make them be more careful with their usage of guns.....

    Extra: Maybe the build time (in both events) the map is also pitch dark but they have unlimited flashlight because if not it would be dumb because you could see the others boat positions before everything goes dark.....
