So last month the elections happened during a sunday (25/10) the 2 most popular candidates where Daniel Scioli and Mauricio Macri. Scioli was and is with the corrupt goverment know as the "K" here (Kirshner) with the actual president who ruled the last 8 years and before that her dead husband Nestor for 4 years. During this "K" period that ruled for 12 years this country with other corrupt goverment functionaries took the country to poverty and broke the economy in so many ways, the most important the inflation of over 25%, example, about 10 years ago the US dollar was worth 1.5$ in Argentina, now there are two types, the oficial (9,38$) and the "blue" (13,76$). For the first time in history in Argentina there was a presidential debate and a balotage yesterday. Most of the country celebrated as Macri won the election, the only non-corrupt president won against all odds by around 51% of the votes. Its a great day!. After the 10th of december there will be no more corrupt goverment funcionaries as they are all leaving with CFK (Cristina Fernandes de Kirchner). EDIT: It appeared in the New York Times:
Congrats man, I'd like to think the majority of people want to get rid of corruption. Those corrupt people may have money but we have more people and that becomes the more powerful thing in the end. I hope we can get rid of corruption in our country too.
