So I have had muiltiple people spam props, and I have had to kick some cause they were lagging the server really badly. I know mods have the ability to clean up the players props, and I dont know if they can add that to Jr Mod?
That could be very abused and i think thats why Jr mods don't have that. Because if they get mad at someone they can keep removing their props and annoy them.
And I think that it's not worth adding this feature, the usual kick can do without. Many people after 1-2 kick will not go to the server
If you abuse anything - you're a bad mod. That's the overall point. And yeah, we could take another look at permitions for jr's.
Junior mod is a test phase for a reason. Also imo this doesnt matter at all because almost nobody uses this feature and the same thing can be done by using the kick feature given to everyone on the staff team. Junior moderators have enough commands to moderate the servers.
Hm? Team rounds you have to use kick to kick players who are minging with other player's props. This would be like the worst case to use cleanup for. Also, not even moderator can use global cleanup and I dont want them to have that power.
Nobody really "needs" global cleanup. So I agree with you there. All I'm saying is that cleanup is just as abusable as kicking a player. The only difference is that kick is pretty much a solve all in most cases and !clean is problem specific. (IE: A guys boat is glitching out and lagging the server during fight phase, you kick him, and he earns no cash. VS, Cleaning up and refunding his props).
Just from my point of view and why we never gave more permissions to Jr's when I was Super Admin. Mainly, Jr Mod is a time for you to prove yourself to the rest of staff. You were good enough to be accepted as Jr Mod, but proving yourself doesn't end there. You have enough permissions to assist in Moderating. If someone is being very disruptive and you need more help, you get the attention of someone higher than yourself to assist. Doing so will also show that you are capable of asking for help, which is a good quality to have, and that you are active in trying to get rid of disruptive players and rule breakers. Some permissions are just to much and could be abused by a new staff member. If you join the army, you don't get a rifle and get thrown into battle the first day. You have to learn and earn. My suggestion, don't ask for more permissions. Instead, work diligently to prove yourself to staff members so that you may be promoted.
What decap said. I personally never use the clean up feature it's just out of the way and you can just kick them and it hits two birds with one stone yeah? Although Jr Mods are mods and should be given respect like one you're still going through a trial phase and once trust is thoroughly gained then you'll get some fancy powers. And believe me, I know the team rounds are horrifying. I made it through tho and if I was a candy I'd be a dum dum so you should be fine.
I'm not amazingly sure on how the staff tree works within this community, however I guess Jr-Mod is basically Trial-Mod which means they are given only neccisary commands that also have the least chance of being abused. Then once they are trusted they will obviously rankup to Moderator where they have more commands in which they have proved themselves they can use responsibly.
