Player models lose worn accessory items after being turned into ragdolls (via player death)

Hats and other accessories worn by players disappear from view when they die until the next respawn. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening?

 

Doesn't this also leave the hats in the exact spot that the person died in, making it hard to see during certain situations or is that a glitch I keep getting?

 

This is a bit confusing, if they are dead then why would they be wearing any accessories?

 

Okay.

For example, during a build phase I decide to apply angel wings to my character. Once the fight phase begins I accidentally slip into the water and die. The very second my health drops to zero the wings disappear from my character. This would happen to anything else that could have been worn instead.

It ought to be patched for the sake of keeping visual consistency and for the benefit of easier identification of waterlogged players.

 

So you're saying it disappears from your player model once it turns into a ragdoll after dying correct?

 

That is correct. It happens when player models turn into Barbie and Ken dolls.
