Hi, this is a thread where i just wanted to know what most annoys you like say there is a person who steals ur seat in a meeting or something. What annoys me the most is when ur looking at something like at a public library computer and there is someone waiting to use it they get way to damn close and start like breathing on u it happened to me in the museum over Christmas break.
My list, I might add more when I don't feel tired. When I ask someone for help after helping them alot and they say 'no'. When I get killed by OP weps and the fucker says 'Oh schrekt m9'. When someone says 'your bi!?' or 'your furry!?' in a suprised manner after telling them.... When I am continuesly asked to do something. When someone brags (Less annoying after you de_stroy them after though) When my bf don't reply bruh (Jk)
In the words of the late George Carlin: "I don't have pet peeves, I have major psychotic fucking hatreds."
(1) People not acknowledging doors being held for them and saying "thank you" in return. (2) Inappropriate use of the word "me" instead of "I" in sentence structure. Makes people appear intelligibly incompetent, grammatically retarded, and sound like cavemen. For example: "Me go to school." "Me had a good time." "Me sad." "Me, myself, and me." "Me and my friend went to the driving range." (3) Some (but not all) abbreviations such as "pic." and "app." Cater to the vulgar / unsophisticated / simplistic majority. How difficult is it to type / speak "picture" and "application"? (Let alone, how much longer would it take?) (4) "Selfies". Much the same applies to was stated for other socially derived "abbreviations". They are technically "portrait shots." Why not just call them that? It sounds far less grating and is more dignified. (5) Narcissism. Grating to be around and to hear. Paints a picture about the possible insecurities that a person has. A systemic cancer to Facebook and an affliction upon many acquaintances that I know of that frequent the site. (6) The slang word "Homie". Grating to hear; low brow individuals use it extensively. I'd like to believe it was derived from something smarter like "Hominid" (ex: "Yo, hominid!"), but it's very much likely implausible given the sub-par IQ threshold of those that use the former in their daily vocabulary. (7) The US judicial system "Abstract" as fuck; too many outcome inconsistencies with regard to how people are tried and convicted (apparently even more so than principles of biology and chemistry, where there are already exceptions to natural "rules"). People will sheepishly defend murderers / rapists even though they've been caught in the act (e.g. lawyers). Often times true justice isn't begotten. People that commit heinous crimes are sometimes given minor slaps to the wrist. (8) Redistribution of wealth (aka Socialism) Why should my or any honest-working man's / woman's income be split up and distributed among people that don't want to contribute to society (e.g. those that exploit the welfare system)? (9) Political correctness A calling card for softies, bleeding hearts, and those who either feel sorry for themselves or entitled to police freedom of speech and expression. In my opinion and from other sources, it has been exploited to death as a means of control and social engineering. (10) The majority's lack of concern / apathetic position for animal welfare and protection. People / Organizations that actually give a damn (and conduct themselves appropriately) are often times brandished as being nonsensical / not taken seriously. (11) Arguments that defend abortion No matter how the pig is dressed, the concept of aborting a pre-neonate is morally and ethically wrong. The procedures used for killing and disposing of unwanted fetuses are also disgusting.
"Selfies" Apple products People who hate/dislike things that contain something they loathe Selfish, greedy people Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook When people don't read/skip tutorials or information, then asking for help When someone asks me how to print or save something on a computer People who spread false information/rumors Obtrusive, misleading ads Freeware that includes software ads during installation and tries to hide the decline button Bloatware "Restart your computer to apply updates" "Hammer.exe has stopped responding" Counter not posting a picture of himself
I hate to say it but you sound insanely pretentious and honestly a bit cringe worthy hardly anyone says this unless they were born with a different jargon or they're foreign. the way you used "me" in the last sentence is commonly used and although technically wrong, it doesn't matter considering no one expects grammar Nazis to get butthurt since everyone knows what the hell they meant by that. believe it or not some people don't actively think of how technically flawless their sentences are.. OK, using abbreviations is for unsophisticated and vulgar people? you can't be anymore god damn pretentious. there's literally nothing inherently wrong with using a shorter version of a fucking word. everyone uses the word app. Bill gates, Bjarne Stroustrup, fucking like all devs, and hell even the major companies like Google microsoft apple and etc. why do you think its called the app store? you're probably the only one to get annoyed over people saying app instead of application which is ridiculous considering we use so many abbreviations in casual talking. do you also get annoyed when someone says etc or lol instead of laugh out loud? because portrait shot sounds pretentious and long for no reason when a shorter alternative commonly used in society you can just god damn say picture instead of portrait shot would you really be the guy to say "hold on, lemme take a portrait shot" instead of "let me take a picture"? it only sounds grating to you and those who are insanely adverse to mainstream society or some shit that's just insanely pretentious, iq has nothing to do with jargon. you act like youre superior and smarter than those that use different vocabulary than you which really just shows the opposite. people and professors from high tier colleges (ivy league schools) and universities have said homie to their friends casually too, you really think theyre also stupid? it's just slang, and theres no way in fuck you've never used slang in your language before no matter how high and mighty you think you may be. also you used " ex" instead of example, didn't you say abbreviations annoy you? it shouldn't take much more to type out "example" anyway, right? just trying to make a point here why are you so arrogant to the point where you believe people who don't talk in synonyms and proper old English have lower IQs than you? i know of an mit professor who fucks around in his class and talks using slang and words like selfie. you really think an mit professor has a subpar iq? using popular words dont make you any less intelligent. this is like chuunibyou shit smh, you only seem like a more stupid person from getting annoyed at this stuff not trying to roast just giving my honest input here
You certainly are one to jump right away to name calling when a personal accord is plucked cleanly off the violin. If I may say so, you yourself come off as being rude and abrasive. Truthfully I could care just as less about what you portray me as as I would about the characters / moral fiber of the next several guys that share what they don't like, however succinct or detailed they may be. Thank you for a moment of your time, and do have a pleasant evening.
Have to agree with that one I bloody hate that first one so much, I just want to grab them and throw them back in the door and close it on them ( Yet I am to nice so..) Also, if someone is raped or someone accidentally got them selves pregnant are they suppose to burden themselves with another persons child? And its worse to just give the baby away cause you are giving away something that will grow to have feelings and stuff, and could easily get depressed that way for reasons evolving that (I.E., if they don't get adopted for awhile they will think lowly of them selves that even they're parents got rid of them). I try not to argue with stuff that I don't look into much, but cringed at that to hard.
On the basis of abortion there are going to be people that are impregnated against their will, but the right thing to do instead of killing the child is adoption or other appropriate means (assuming the mother will be unfit for parenting).
As much as I respect your opinion on these matters, a child should have the right to know who their biological parents are. To give up the child for adoption would mean that the child will not know about his true heritage and that his life will always be surrounded by mysteries (questioning one's identity and such). While it is true that some families cannot afford to have another child or do not have the means to do so, don't you think it is slightly immoral in the child's perspective? Furthermore, there will be instances where abortion might save the life of a mother due to complications and such. What will you do then? The life of a mother is just as precious as the life of a child.
I have a working understanding that absolutely nothing in life is perfect, fool-proof, or black and white. But, given a conventional circumstance of whether to keep or discard a child--one that doesn't involve life or death, I would still advocate "No" to infanticide. Adopted kids are also most certainly entitled to know who their biological parent(s) is / are upon early exposure or request. Whether they reunite depends on the situation. Perhaps it could be for reasons such as safety or that the parent is not yet equipped to properly take care of the child. It could be for other reasons that haven't been brought up. _________________________ On a side note while I have the chance to say this, I would like to thank Taki and Seasons for your politeness and abstainance from sluring during (and continuing on from) this particular discussion about human ethics.
