Post what you're listening to or your favorite songs here! ALL music is welcome. 10/18/2017 UPDATE: Devinity Music note: double posts will be merged for the purpose of this thread
They're probably one of my favourite groups. Only reason I've heard of them was because of Alan Wake. EDIT: Because centering works.
Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex has one of the most compelling OST I've ever heard. These songs alongside the anime are comparable to surrealism. I don't have my emotions conveyed as strongly elsewhere. Spoiler 'Oh mother dear Look what you've done To your forlorn and once beloved son Why was I born at all? Oh mother dear I'm such a freak A mutant man, a woman underneath Why was I born at all? It's you I blame for all the shame This anguish and this aching The mirror turned against the wall Myself despised, forsaken *You say, "Beauty is within us, your mother knows" "There's a beauty that's within us, just like a rose" You say, "Beauty is within us, so let it grow" But it's grown so dark and ugly Oh mother dear I curse you so For breathing life into your wretched son Why were you born at all? Oh mother dear I love you so Oh please forgive this anger in my soul Without you I'm alone It's me who's been eternally damned Trapped inside this cage, a ruined man All damaged and depraved Oh mother dear This misery Has settled like a stain upon my skin -a vast unspoken sin And my mistake is much too late But your mistake was trusting That out of grief, a goodness comes And love comes out of lusting *repeat You say, "Beauty is within us, your mother knows" "There's a beauty that's within us, just like a rose" You say, "Beauty is within us, so let it grow" But it's grown so dark I can not see you anymore "Oh beauty is within us, mother knows" "Oh beauty is within us, like a rose" "Oh beauty is within us, let it grow" Oh mother dear, let me out of here!' You're damn right it does! I'm not sure why I center videos, but I do.
To me it seems like it balances the post, in an artistic sense. Keeps it from having too many elements on one side and gives the content an even amount of negative space.
I like this a tad too much, it's not a real song, but I think it pretty much sums up The Era of Video.
Spoiler It's not how you start; it's how you finish. And it's, not, where you're from; it's where you're at. Everybody gets knocked down, everybody gets knocked down. How quick are you gonna' get up? How quick are you gonna' get up? Everybody gets knocked down, everybody gets knocked down. How quick are you gonna' get up? Just how are you gonna' get up? Like Ali in the jungle, Like Nelson in jail, Like Simpson on the mountain, With odds like that, they were bound to fail Like Hannah in the darkness, Like Adam's in the dark, Like Ludwig Van, how I loved that man, well the guy went deaf and didn't give a damn, no... No, no, no It's not where you are; it's where you're going. Where are you going? And it's not about the things you've done; it's what you're doing now. What are you doing now? Everybody gets knocked down, everybody gets knocked down. How quick are you gonna' get up? How quick are you gonna' get up, now? Everybody gets knocked down, everybody gets knocked down. How quick are you gonna' get up? Just how are you gonna' get up? Like Ali in the jungle, Like Nelson in jail, Like Simpson on the mountain, Well with odds like that, they were bound to fail Like Hannah in the darkness, Like Adam's in the dark, Like Ludwig Van, how I loved that man, well the guy went deaf and didn't give a damn, no... Oooh, ooh, ooh No, no, no Oooh, ooh, ooh No, no, no Oooh, ooh, ooh It's the greatest comeback since Lazarus, The greatest comeback since Lazarus, It's the greatest comeback since Lazarus, The greatest comeback since Lazarus, It's the greatest comeback since Lazarus, The greatest comeback since Lazarus, The greatest comeback since Lazarus, The greatest comeback...
