"rick"came in accusing me and Wolf whisperer of d'dosing the flood server, wolf still isn't in a stable condition so he kind of goes hard on "rick" that's his ts name for now at least or his unique id on ts is yXCObNhMGofUd7GDTM2oCXu+Gr8=
so we defended ourselves because he said we were d'dosing the flood server, but he noticed my recording on ts and only said he herd sources from someone that accused us and that he was checking it out, but if he had sources he should of gone to an admin and had them check it out, and when we asked who, he said it was an anonymous person or at least he wasn't going to tell us who. And this is all after Dawson had dealt with the issue of the flood server. This isn't the first time hes trolled me before.

Hi guys, so recently I went on teamspeak with my good friend merk and we were chilling and we finished the game we were playing so he suggested we go talk to some people on the teamspeak. We saw this xXBlackdoomxx guy and so we moved in to talk to him.

It didn't start off too bad but after a little bit merk started to get annoying and started making gagging sounds and shit, which is obviously spam. And obviously this guy was getting pretty peeved because we just moved into his channel and he started recording merk so he could get him banned, I eventually messaged him on steam saying that he should probably stop and so he left the server, after this I went to talk to blackdoom and told him that if he wanted to mute/block clients there was a feature for that and encouraged him to do that.

Anyway, the day afterwards i tried to rejoin for the conference and i was banned from the server for spamming, I then asked counter to unban me and essentially recieved this reasoning:

"Although allowing someone to break the rules makes you just as guilty, regardless if he is you friend or not. If you truly care about this community like you say you do, you wouldn't allow "friends" to do that kind of stuff. If he does it again, it will be permanent."

I don't get this, and I sort of feel as if it stands against a lot of the main features of how staff should go around moderating devinity.

Firstly, whilst I can encourage Merk to stop (And I eventually did), he's not my dog and I can't control him because he's a person. When my sensibility kicked in I immediately decided to coerce him to stop, but I don't think I should be held accountable at all for it. If Merk said to me "i'm going to go on devinity and shitpost" or "i'm going to go on the teamspeak to trololololo" what could I do about it? The staff team wouldn't be able to ban him any quicker if I reported it before it happened. I just don't like this whole "guilty by association" thing, sure I know him but does that mean I should be banned for 24 hours for not shouting at him to stop and threatening to end my friendship with him? I'm not staff anymore for christs sake.

That's just my two cents because I don't like the way it was handled and would like to see what others felt, sure myself and merk have been trouble in the past, but we've been annoying alone and we're not the same entity.

I wasn't aware of this great loss thread and I'm very sorry if it was a bad time to talk to you guys about something like this but there was also pretty poor behaviour on your part(s) as well.

I came in and said "Hi guys somebody said to me that you guys were hacking the forums, if you are please can you stop", less than a minute after I joined you kicked me from a public channel with the reason "trolling", there's no recording of this but throughout the recording you don't claim that I did anything worse than that, which I respect because it's the truth.

Throughout the recording (That started only 1 minute after I joined the channel because I was very quickly kicked) I tried to remain as calm as possible but you continued with a very aggressive stance that I think many would agree wasn't at all close to the moral fibre we usually expect from a staff member (but you can be cut some slack because you're a jr).

If you are THIS mentally unstable and unfit to moderate then you should've alerted the staff team and had your rank stripped temporarily so that you couldn't act out like this and make rash decisions that don't hold up to the level of expectation that members expect from the staff here. And I hope that anything like this happens again you can take the liberty of realising that you're not in a good condition and you should've been demoted because the way you acted was both childish and disrespectful, if anybody else on the community had disrespected and threatened a user and then pulled a "my wolf died" card they still would've been punished because it's still in their control.

Hes in a unstable mood and the owner gave him rights to take it easy of course right now hes not morally right, right now hes unstable due to losing someone that he truly loved

You can't expect everyday users to understand what a moderator is going through and cater to their needs, they took moderator action and acted like a moderator the entire time I was there, I didn't know about his pup dying and I'm sure it's a tough time for him, but if he knows it will inflict on his moderation he should've taken the decision himself to step down completely untill he was back to normal (It's happened with many other people here and it's the best decision to make).

 

Would have worked out much better if @Rick did not assume anything about the hack that was going on. You really think that if someone was hacking us that they would just chill out in the TS? Also, if you did have any evidence or anything that would point to them being the culprits, why wouldn't you bring this up to Donkie or Bayrock instead? You're very inconsiderate of everyone else when you do the shit you do and I'm very tired of it all. Regardless of your reasoning behind it was just or with good intentions, the way you went about it all was wrong.

 

Rick, you need to show more sympathy, Wolf is in a bad state which you should realize he doesn't need any shit from people. Leave him be.

 

Again you're wrong Rick. I clearly posted a thread about this situation and got a direct response from Bayrock. Had you even taken the time to look at the thread directly linked from the post above instead of running your ignorant mouth you'd have known this by now. Secondly I won't have you talking about Texas as if he was just a pup. He was a fully grown wolf and is more a betterment to this world that you could ever dream to be, back off and hold your tongue!

 

Alright maybe I went about it in the wrong way, my "sources" weren't that reliable. But can we at least agree that if Wolf is really suffering this bad he should be temporarily stripped of his powers so he can't make any more mistakes, and can then be given it back when he's fine again? I don't want him demoted but I don't want another incident like this either.

 

Okay that's fine and I respect you, but I can't be expected to know about your pupper dying. At the time I didn't and it was only afterwards that I found out, I'm very sorry if I came across as inconsiderate I just didn't know. I don't want you demoted but you just shouldn't be staff in your current position, when you're back to normal I think you should be staff again by all means but for the meanwhile you clearly can't conduct yourself properly. It's good that you came out and said beforehand about this issue, but all I want you to do it stick to your word when you said you will be avoiding a moderator position.

All I'm saying is that you should be stripped of your powers until you recover fully so you can't make mistakes like the one you did today...

 

@Rick You need to stop, this isn't helping. He's in a bad place and the best thing you can do is leave him alone.
